Round 1 Of Texas @ Texas Motor Speedway
The WSCC heads to Texas for the season opener at Texas Motor Speedway. There is a lot of expectations for teams like Audi Sport America, CJ Racing and Torpedo Autosport to be the teams to beat after showing speed
in pre season testing at Sebring, but there are teams such as Scott Roush Racing and JA Racing that could play a key factor in the upcoming race.

Belle: Can't wait to race this year! we have some amazing support from Goop and Alfa Romeo. We are FAST!
Roush: I think this year will be fun! I think we can be competitive against the teams that are straight out of factory, after all we are a team that just gets the parts from Alfa, they are assembled at the shop.

Satsuki Jakuzure surprises paddock after winning the pole for the Round Of Texas
Expectations were high for the one of the top teams to sweep the top spots for the Round Of Texas. However Satsuki Jakuzure, driving for Finguy-Psytomi Motorsports, shattered expectations by beating Bobby's lap to take pole for the race. Finguy-Psytomi Motorsports was one of the teams that could play a factor in race and them winning the pole could be a sign of things to come for the team

Bobby: I hate starting on the high side here. You'll lose a lot of spots in 3 laps

I'm just hoping that we have good cars. This is our home race, and we need to perform.

23rd 25th, penalty.
Hood: Was hoping for a caution to help us out. But we were then forced to pit for it under green, and we didn't get it fixed then, though it appeared we were up to speed, it was just new tires doing their thing. Then the caution came out, everyone else pitted, and then we were slow again.
Bunnell: Good race for our underfunded 53 today. Wouldn't say our teammate had the best behavior out there, though.
OOC: Who the heck is Rod Bacon??

Hoffmann: I don't know what was Climber Tech thinking when they kept Hood out on track. It was obvious that a yellow wasn't coming out soon.
Bobby: Solid runs from me and my teammate. Our guys have been working hard during pre season to make our cars competitive.

Dodd, 2nd: "Man, just a couple more laps and a couple less idiots, and I could have had a shot at winning the race. But still, all in all a great job by this #8 Axalta Chevy team, they gave me a strong car, particularly in the 2nd half of the race!"
Gurion, 24th: "Ran OK, got involved in a wreck, and then the car was just slow. What's the point of going back out if we don't gain any points back there? Oh well, hopefully we can have a much better run in this #88 Nationwide Chevy at Road America."

Re: Round 1 Of Texas @ Texas Motor Speedway
JA Racing Post Texas report
JA Racing came to Texas knowing that they have to perform to the hometown crowd. Sadly, the cars weren't set up the way that they wanted to and it took time before the cars were able to get to life. Both Rowe and Arndt found their way into the Top 10 at least once in the race. Sadly, lapped traffic was the bane of JA Racing's efforts as it pushed both Rowe and Arndt to the back. Thankfully, Arndt was able to make his way to 11th.
"We had a tight car at the beginning of the race, but the 05 team was able to pull it together and we brought it back. It's a shame that lapped traffic affected the race as it did. We are hoping the WSCC officials take a harsher stance on lapped traffic that gets in the way of the pack in later dates. We give congrats to the race winner and we look forward to Road America.
