In 2015, Jeff James was signed on by Luke Martin to drive for Martin Motorsports. The team kicked off strong winning the Daytona 500 and since then it has been history. Jeff James the past 2 years has been battling for championships and wins constantly. Jeff James currently is the most winning driver on the circuit since the 2015 Season. It's only 4 races into the 2017 Season and Jeff James is the point leader by half a race over 2nd place in the points with finishes of 8th, 1st, 1st and 2nd so far this year. Jeff James and Martin Motorsports has gotten together to sign a life-time contract. The only other team that has this type of contract is Cyberton Motorsports with D.J. Kurtis.
