Baskinger grabs pole as FPM upgrades shine


Jake Baskinger, and the FPM brigade as a whole has been reveling in their most recent upgrades to their car. The FPM023 has been a decent mid-field car plagued with reliabilty/luck issues. However, recent engine upgrades from Ford have allowed the team to shine around the 3.2 mile Illinois Motorsports Park. John Arndt led 1st practice, while Baskinger led 2nd practice, and grabbed the pole.


Despite winning, Moore does not find ride with team


Despite Ethan Moore winning the Round of Canada, Action Terra has brought Grayson Acevedo to the Round of Illinois. No official statement from Action Terra was made, however Moore's off track antics after the race was apparently the deciding factor. ARCSOA champion Kenny Myatt stated, "Moore is not mature enough to race in this series. He has the talent, but not the maturity. I think this weekend really proved that." There is apparently a team that is interested in bringing Moore in. Rumor has it that team is Mentervini looking to maybe replace one of their drivers.

Arndt: I know it seems like we have a fast car, but I've learned to not getting my hopes up.

In the news of someone's potential fallout at Mentirvini, Haddix thought out her future plans if that driver happened to be her. She released that if the driver falling out was her, Operación de Peña y Stucolé would give her the vacant A700 one off in hopes of another impressive run. Rumor has it that she would take the spot regardless unless Ethan filled the opened 78.

OLINA Sports: Rumor has it, that Haddix is not the driver that Mentervini is looking to replace.

Kurtis: "Absolute disaster today."

Kenny: They gave me a strike for that? What the heck is William smoking if he thought that was my fault.

William Williams: Just remember Kenny, ARCSOA will be here long after you retire.

Nothing could match Jake, but I hope that going into my strong suit of short tracks will provide us with victory

Tough Day For RDR, but the fight is still there and my guys at the shop will keep pushing for best results for both our team cars.

Vincent: "God what a terrible day. Bad luck continues as usual. I don't know why the 9 thinks he has the right to wreck people, I admit that the car was awful. Also I get race control yelling in my ear about blue flags, when I was in sections where the track was very narrow, and I could not get out of the way unless I got in the grass. But I do love how other drivers have been agressive as lapped cars, such as that 19, who is a roadblock every week. Yet the officials never say anything."

Roush: SECOND AGAIN! DAMMIT!. I can't complain though, considering that earlier we had a battery going out...

Dodd, 6th: "Finally, we completed a race! This #41 Racing Digest Lexus was solid all race, just didn't have a ton of top-end speed. But all in all, a solid race."

Noah Hart: We had a lot of potential in this race with Myatt but just didn't come home with it. Solid day all around but I just couldn't really get a hold of this track.
