VECS S4 Championship Round : Round 30 @ Indy

Post by RedViperGaming on July 17th 2017, 2:42 pm

The Final Round Of The Verizon Elite Cup Series Season Takes Place at the Indianapolis Motor speedway. The Championship Battle has taken a huge turn of events, with the two front runners having break downs at the worst possible time. Now 7 Drivers have a shot of taking this Championship. The two favorites right now coming into This race have got to be BFM's Ariana Kearney. The Rookie has been on a tear this season, winning 4 races. Although she is the favorite; she's 6 Points down from the Points Leaders. Points leaders as in 1st In points is Tied Between Red Viper Racing Teammates, Roman Rehall & Nick Pericles. FPM's Etisham Phadkar is right behind them 4 Points Back. Kearney fills the position behind Phadkar, then 3 points back from her is 2nd Year Max Titan. Driving for Red Bull Titan did not think he would be in a position to win it all. Frankly, No one else did either.
Here is your full run down of the Championship Prospects:

Points Ldr - Roman Rehall:
Rehall had a good start to the season but fell off rather quickly. He's bounced back and has a win under his belt to contest for his championship rights.

Points Ldr - Nick Pericles:
Now.. Pericles has been on an insane tear, winning 2 of the last 3 Races. He's on a hot streak and it came at just the right time for him. Pericles has 4 wins on the season in total.

- 4 Points: Etisham Phadkar:
Phadkar has been very consistent this whole season Earning himself two wins, one in dominating fashion. Phadkar although, fell off a little bit at the end. He's looking to cap off a very good season with a championship for Fingy Pystomi Motorsports.

-6 Points: Ariana Kearney:
Ariana Kearny is battling for a championship in her rookie season. Although, she has the help of Blue Flare Motorsports. Kearney has bested all of her teammates, putting up 4 wins this season. The most ever by a rookie.
Kearney is the Championship favorite. Even if she's 6 Points back.

-9 Points: Max Titan:
Titan Surprisingly has two wins, both of them coming from Road courses. He was projected to be more of a speedway driver but it is evident that he has Road course talent. Titan comes into this race having a good chance if he can stay up front and play his cards right.

-11 Points: Dajon Weeks:
Weeks was actually in a 3 driver championship battle a couple of races ago. 30+ Point gaps on the rest of the field. Recent Troubles and bad finishes has allowed for a lot more drivers to get into the view for this championship. Weeks has been stellar this season as he's collected 4 Wins & Has been consistent up to this last stretch.

-12 Points: Don Smallwood:
DW Racing Teammate of Dajon Weeks, Don Smallwood is a bit of a stretch from this point on out. As these points are basically posistions on track. Collecting 3 wins this season, Smallwood has been a dominate force. Along with his teammate Dajon, the both of them combine for 7 wins. Right now, don't be surprised if one of them pull off a long shot for this championship/

-23 Points: Skyla Johnson:
FPM has another driver that could win the championship. If a Miracle happens. Skyla Johnson is mathematically in the championship. 2 Wins & a lot of consistency, although she just hasn't been up front enough to really contest the drivers ahead of her.

-33 Points: Jay Stella:
Don't know if this will be even possible but Hey, Stella has been surging the last few races and a hard earned miracle wouldn't stop anything short of a possibilities. Stella earned his first win this season last round @ Homestead.

Those Are the Championship Prospects; Essentially the top 10 in Points coming into this race. H Fitzwater (55 Points back) Does not have a shot at the championship but is a worthy mention.

Practice Results Will Be Up Soon! Stay Tuned.

After qualifying, Moss is in the top 30 by 2 points over Gardner and Lightning. It is his goal to gain spots during the race to stay within the boundaries of the top 30.

Roman Rehall is in a tie with Ehtisham Phadkar for the point lead after qualifying.
Edit: My bad. It was only practice. Rehall has the title unless Phadkar wins or Pericles passes him. Moss has a top 30 coming along as long as Gardner doesn't crack the top 10.
