Diabetes Never Stopped MC

Diabetes is a disease in which the body’s ability to produce or respond to the hormone insulin is impaired, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates and elevated levels of glucose in the blood and urine. It effects approximately 29 million American's. One of those American's is young stock car racer, Milton Campbell.

She was born with Diabetes, but when she was old enough, with the help of her family she learned to control it quite quickly. She never let it get in the way of her sports as a kid. She did hockey, football, softball, soccer, name it and there's a chance she gave it a shot. But Diabetes never slowed her down. When she was 12 she started competing in the Go Kart circuit, and everyone knew there she could compete at a much higher level. At age 16 she decided it was time, as a Red Stallion Racing development driver she hopped in the car and set some of the best times they've ever seen (on a road course). The one issue was because of her Diabetes she had life-threatening issues in the car. Like how would she check her blood, or get the insulin she needs, etc. So she was forced out of the sport.

Another team, known as Blue Flare Motorsports wasn't going to let her hopes and dreams go down the shitter. So they spent their next year working on a device where the crew chief could keep an eye on her blood sugar levels and control her insulin from the pit box. Then from inside the car she's hooked up to something that gives her insulin. Because of this she could officially race again, and at age 18 she did. In the #81 for Blue Flare Motorsports sponsored by us here at Insulin Nation. She hasn't done extraordinary by any means, but she's had good runs nonetheless. Especially at road courses, she is one of the best counting both SCS and HNS drivers probably.

Come 2018 it was announced by Tauger Racing Unit she would make her FT Cup debut and ROTY campaign driving the #74. Sponsored by The Outdoor Channel & Insulin Nation (us). We wish her the best of luck and we hope she can win the ROTY!
