Round 24 of Michigan
The SCS heads for the Irish Hills of Michigan International Speedway. Speeds will reach upwards to 200mph. This is a track where speed will matter a lot. Horsepower back from the shop coming into this weekend will be a big deal to winning this race. Our Championship contenders have dwindled down to 4 guys within a race and a handful of drivers a little over 2 races behind in points needing to make something happen with 13 races remaining on the schedule...
Go or Go Home Qualifying
1. #32 Treck Tauger
2. #33 Stephen Pollard III
3. #81 Bradley Bishop Jr.
4. #22 Maalik Nevins
5. #62 Matt Daleo
6. #21 Zaedin Davidson
7. #37 Samet Ozkan
Did Not Qualify
8. #66 Nick Pericles
9. #06 Angel Navarro
Here are my picks for this weekend at Michigan...
GREEN FLAG PICK: Jacob Hart
Jacob Hart is my green flag pick despite not running as good as he has in the past... Hart has 6 top 10s this year and sits 16th in the standings. He has a good record here at Michigan, he's started 5 races here and has finished inside the Top 10 here twice and would have finished well here last year had he not wrecked out in a SUMS Racing car. Look for Hart to have a strong run in the #88 this weekend.
WHITE FLAG PICK: Luke Martin
We've had 6 races here at Michigan and Martin has started all 6 of them. Luke Martin has either wrecked out or finished really well here in the past. Martin has 3 top 10 finishes here and competed for the win in all 3 of those races. The other 3 races, Martin was in the garage out of the race after being in a wreck. Despite the inconsistency at his home race, Martin is one of the best at Michigan. We expect Martin to run hard and try and win his 20th race at his home race.
CHECKERED FLAG PICK: Jordan Davis
This pick was really easy for me. Davis has only ran at Michigan 4 times in his career and he's finished inside the Top 10 in every start he's made there! Not only that, but he's the defending winner at Michigan and his last win currently was earlier this year on a track longer than 2.0 miles that being California! Davis knows how to get around tracks like Michigan and it showed with the car he had at California leading 70 of the 75 laps earlier this year! Jordan Davis will be the favorite in taking the win on Sunday.
BLACK FLAG PICK: James Silverfox
This pick has a bit of reasons behind it. Silverfox has been slipping in points. The momentum is definitely not on his side. If Silverfox is going to have a redeeming run in his title hopes in his last year he's going to need to turn his luck around and Michigan has not been his best track. He does have a Top 10 here but that was back 10 seasons ago and he slid by to get 9th. He's never really been competitive here, it's not been because of bad luck, it's just the performance from him haven't shown here. Add that in with how the momentum of this 28 team has been and Silverfox seems to be an easy pick for this week's black flag pick.

Griffin: "This is going to be an emotional weekend for me. This is my home and you can bet I'm going to give it all I've got."
(OOC: I'm potraying this as the 1st time, my driver has been back home since getting the news about his cousin. It's also why I asked Noah to use that one scheme for this race too.)

Mart Jr: "We've really been proud of Treck this whole season. No matter what he usually finds a way to qualify, getting to race in a full field almost every Week. We can't say anymore than thank you Treck for this whole season. We still have some races to go though, hopefully Treck will be able to qualify for all of them!"

Finguy: "That was a kick to the nuts. Had a good run going, then it shuts off and had to tow it back to get it fired back up... Allen doesn't have anything to complain this week."

I wasn't very good on my picks this weekend. Black flag pick did better than the rest! We'll see how next week is.
