Re: Season 24 Silly Season
Scott Roush is out of a ride and has announced he will only go to BFM, CJR, or Silverspeed if he will stay in AES. If not, he has his heart elsewhere, in endurance racing over in Europe.

Team Flame Racing will go over to Dodge after a very angry Alan Jobe tore up his BMW contract over in Munich, right in front of BMW's top Executives. TFR was originally going to Alfa, but because of the manufacturer thing in place, TFR will take the next Dodge spot to stay in the FCA banner

Jake Moss will be starting up a team called BJ Racing that will run under the Seiba banner. Ćićoria Šatska will run in one of the cars, if so allowed, and the other will be TBA. The numbers will be 79 and 43, and sponsors of Cheerios and OLINA Sports Network. They would prefer to sign international drivers as part of their Going Global campaign.

Finguy-Psytomi Motorsports will remove their group from the grid for the soul reason of Ford not in the grid. The decision to leave was previously stated, as well as Kyle Shock Jr. related to the Finguy-Psytomi Family will leave with them.

Re: Season 24 Silly Season
After re-evaluating both the condition of the series and the condition of their team, Team Flame Racing has closed the AES section of the shop, and has taken their money and time somewhere else, Alan Jobe was quoted saying that "the series is falling apart, it will take a lot to win me back into the bidding for a team" and that "we can be better somewhere else".

Re: Season 24 Silly Season
Arndt: I would love to continue forward with FPM going into S24, but that sadly isn't the plan without Ford on the manufacturer list. I would like to thank Mr. Finguy for having such faith in me, even through all of the bad races I was having. There were so many times that I was ready to hang it up and he kept me in the ride. Hopefully, we can end the season on a good note.
Moving forward, I expect good things from Silverspeed. But it's also important to note that I'm at a point in my career where another bad season could spell the end of my career as I am getting more and more annoyed by the fact that there are so many problems here that need to be fixed, but it just doesn't seem to happen. But I am still holding onto hope that everything can turn around

Former AES champion to start AES team; Will run one more full time season
After finishing runner up in the season 23 American 700, season 11 AES champion Ryan Griffin apparently has caught the bug to return to the AES for one more season. The 39 year old Michigan made the announcement today that will run one more full time season before turning his attention to being a full time owner.
Griffin has stated he would like to run the #17 if available (the number he won his title with), but would consider the numbers 35 and 51 as backups. He also stated that his team will be called Great Lakes Motorsports and would to run Dodges. The car number for the other entry has yet to be determined. Sponsorship for both entries will announced at a later date.
Griffin also added the team is seeking a driver for their 2nd entry and anyone interested should contact the team via their website glmaes.com (OOC: pm me here or on discord).

Re: Season 24 Silly Season
Bobby Jones announces retirement from AES at the end of Season 23. Plans to do Open Wheel Racing.
Rookie Bobby Jones is calling it quits from AES at the end of Season 23 as he is frustrated with the quality of engines that D&C uses. DNF'S and bad finishes has made Jones lose motivation in competing in AES and that he decided that his best chance of showing off his talent will be in the likes of open wheel racing. Bobby says that he may rethink leaving AES if there is a good team that would hire him, but the chances of that is very slim and he doesn't want a repeat of the same situation that he is currently in.

Kyle Basaglia unsure about return to the AES
After an up and down season with Xios Honda, Kyle Basaglia is still very unknown on if he will return to the series. He states, "The reliability of the Xios Honda really got on my nerves, If I were to return, it would not be with Honda." Information about Basaglia's career moving forward will be updated with time.

ViperTech Makes Deal With Dodge
ViperTech has finally made a push to stay in the AES for another season. Although there have been disputes in the past between Aston Martin & Dodge, the team has found some way to make a deal with Dodge as their manufacture for Season 24.
Along with that,
Former AES Driver Roman Rehall will return to racing with Vipertech in the #22 Dodge.
The team is also looking at options, considering Brock & Rowe as the final driver.

Re: Season 24 Silly Season
OOC: Scrap everything you have been working on up to this point. I am redoing the system again in order to make everyone else happier.
-Teams are NO LONGER restricted to 2 full time cars. However, there is a 4 car maximum per team.
-Manufactures have opened up again. However, no manufacture can be used twice.
-There will be a reasonable cap on full time cars. I might keep it at 36, but I could raise it to 42 depending on if any teams are leaving. (If I go above 36, I may do a pre-qualifying system similar to F1 in the early 90's, and restrict grid sizes to 36)
-Schedule has been updated again. It's a tad bit more ambiguous though.
-I am interested in seeing custom manufactures coming into the series. So if you would like to run a custom manufacture. Please PM me. (You are responsible for painting it though)

Re: Season 24 Silly Season
Vincent Allen wants to stay with Red Bull, but is unsure of future as of now.
Vincent Allen is in a sort of hard place as of now. The two time American 700 champion has had one of his worse seasons of his career, being mired down in 40th in points with only one top 5 finish in 15 races this year. Vincent has been with Red Bull for many seasons, and wishes to stay but has not been reached out to about a contract extension, and has doubts about his place at the team. But he is ready for whatever happens.

Jeff Davis: We are staying with Volkswagen with Freeze and Monaco in their respective 05 and 24 rides. We are slightly thinking of doing a part-time car, but that is to be determined if we do it.
John Arndt: Excited for next season at Silverspeed. Expecting great things.

CJ Racing Increases to a 4-Car Team, Will Continue to Run Chevy's for S24

They have already locked in contracts with Dornan Bouchard and Eitisham Phadkar, but are now going to be looking for 2 more drivers to fill their S24 roster.

Aidan Shepherd, one of the quietest drivers on the grid is looking for a ride. He has not been fond of the performance of the engines and handling in the Xios Honda team vehicles. He is looking out there for a better ride, but is completely open to any option. Aidan states "I need a car that can last a race and win, and Xios Honda just wasn't enough for me."

CJ Racing Signs Scott Roush for Season 24
CJ Racing has announced that Scott Roush will be driving the #25 Folgers Chevy for S24. It's been a wild 360 for both CJ Racing and Roush, as the Alabama native was originally going to drive for the team in S22, before cancelling his contract and driving for Porsche instead. CJ Racing's CEO David Levin calls this signing, "An important moment for both us(CJ Racing) and Roush," adding that: "We are glad to finally be able to close that chapter, and are excited to see what S24 will hold."
