2015 Owner Points
For 2016, since we have more than 42 Full Time Entries for 2016 we are forced to have a Qualifying System for those who are trying to make it into the race. We are using what NASCAR use to do as the "Top 35 Rule" and that is... Top 35 in Owner Points will be locked into the next race and 36th and lower in points will be in a Qualifying Video, Top 7 qualifiers will qualify into the race. This is not how qualifying into the DAYTONA 500 will be like but here is the final 2015 car owner points.
Listen up. Every Car on this list is locked into the first 5 races. However, since some teams aren't returning for 2016, their car owner points do not count so move everyone up a spot by taking away the teams not returning. Everyone on this list that is returning is locked into the First 5 Races of 2016.

Re: 2015 Owner Points
This is gonna be quite interesting... Who's gonna qualify for each race I wonder?
But we can't forget, part timers will also be in some of the qualifications too
But Noah, one thing. Shouldn't the name of this thread be 2016 instead of 2015?

Re: 2015 Owner Points
These Are the Owner Points For 2015 Collins. So In Order for the #31 to have been Locked in, Pericles would have had to drive the #31?

Re: 2015 Owner Points
@Kyle Collins, This is the 2015 Owner Points Of Last Year. This is not the 2016 Owner Points because 2016 hasn't started yet.
@Nick Pericles The #31 Car Finished inside the Top 35 in Owner Points, HOWEVER, The #31 Team in 2015 was Mountain Dew Racing, the #31 Team in 2016 is Red Viper Racing. You can not transfer owner points from team to team. Only if Mountain Dew Racing was coming back in 2016, they would have the #31 and #33 car owner points. But since Mountain Dew Racing is not returning the #31 and #33 car owner points of last season fanishes because that is Mountain Dew Racing's Points, Not Red Viper Racing's. Thus why Red Viper Racing will be outside the Top 35 in Owner Points for the first 5 races.

Re: 2015 Owner Points
@Jeffery, yes I forgot to add the 92 to the list! The 62 did place high enough to move up to 35th in owner points out of the teams still running in 2016. So James Shelly will be locked into the first 5 races in the 62. Unless if you wanna swap the 62's points last year for the 92 to be locked in, instead, you can do that.
Re: 2015 Owner Points
you can either have James Shelly be the locked in car or Jeffery Finguy be the locked in car. Either way, you'll have one locked in, and one as a go or go homer for atleast the first 5 races.
Lots of good start up teams will have to qualify in on speed for the first 5 races!

Re: 2015 Owner Points
Noah hasn't talked with me about this, but hopefully we will be seeing the new NASCAR qualifying system with the rounds.
If that is the case. Cars 1-36 will be locked in on qualifying time. The last 6 will be decided by Owner Points and Championship Provisionals.
Owner Points
Simple really. The top 5 that has the most owner points moves into the race.
Championship Provisional.
Each champion gets 6 provisionals a season. Only one champion can use it per race. With a 3 race cool down. The champion will start 37th. If there are no champions outside of the 36th, the position will go to the next person will car owner points. (they would get 42nd) If the champion has enough car owner points to be ahead of any of the 5 they will just move into the race without using their provisional, but will not get 37th.
Either way if we don't have the round qualifying. Top 36 are locked in by qualifying.

Re: 2015 Owner Points
Yamp I've done explained how everything is going to be done...
DAYTONA 500: Much like NASCAR from 2005-2013, we are using the Top 35 rule and what that means is basically the old format. Fastest 2 Go or Go Homers are locked in on speed (THIS IS THE ONLY THING I CHANGED FROM THE OLD SYSTEM! Since we have 42 cars on the grid instead of 43 we are not having Top 3 fastest Go or Go Homers, we are doing the Top 2!) , Top 2 Go or Go Homers at the end of the duel race, race their way in. A past champions provisional will be option to Sean Perkins as he's the only past champion on the grid as a Go Or Go Homer for the season opener however if Perkins does not have to rely on his past champions provisional, then it'll go to the next guy to get in on speed. Also the 3rd, 4th and 5th place Go or Go Homer in qualifying can only fall back on their speed to make the 500 if this happens.
For the 3rd quickest go or go homer to make the race on speed he'll need one of the two fastest go or go homers to race their way in, by finishing top 2 in the duel. The 4th place quickest go or go homer to make the race on speed he'll need both the fastest 2 Go or Go Homers already locked in on speed to race their way in. An finally the 5th place quickest go or go homer will need both the fastest 2 go or go homers to race their way in, and also have Sean Perkins race his way in. (In this case, he'll need the past champion provisional to not be used)
For any races after the 500. Top 35 are locked in. 36th or lower in points will be in a qualifying session and Top 7 make it into the race. However if the champions provisional must be used by someone not making the top 7, the top 6 will be locked in and the final starting position on Sunday will be given to the past champion.
Does that help explain everything?

Re: 2015 Owner Points
Top 35 in Owner Points, will be locked into every race. 36th and lower in Owner Points will be considered Go or Go Homers. You will better understand it once the season comes around.
Re: 2015 Owner Points
Dodd:It's kind of a tough situation for smaller teams, but with the new budget rules coming out hopefully things will be more even across the board for all of us.
