William Brock Retiring After 2018 Season:

William Brock has announced that he will be retiring from SCS Competition after the 2018 Season; he feels that he can't find any success in the series and is looking to pursue other ventures.

OOC: Yes, I know that I won't getting a ride for 2019, anyway, but I just thought I'd formally announce the inevitable.

New Faces for The Team!

After a lack of communication between themselves and their formerly future driver Seth Cole, Roush Family Racing felt as though they needed to cut him in order for someone else. Not only did they get one driver, but they got two drivers! Andreas Allen will be attempting the Daytona 500 in the #90. Who will cover the other 29 races? That will be taken care of by none other than Australian Jack Hallec.

On a written statement on the team site, team owner Robbie Roush, Jr. explained why they made this call.

"We felt as if Jack Hallec would be the best move heading forward because he has shown that he can perform in Fitzwater's equipment every now and then, like how Paul Jackson has also proven himself. We think that moving forward, this will be a right move for not only us, but Jack Hallec as well. As for Allen, we really wanted to give him his final ride, and we feel honored to be doing so for him. Scott is on really good terms with the whole family, and we just really wanted to make it special for him. Don't let the Dodge parts of the team owner fool you though, we're still a Ford team!"

The team is also pursuing the owners points for the #10 of CBM from YAMP.

Richard Johnson, 2-Time Champion, is looking to attempt the 23rd Annual Daytona 500

Richard Johnson well-known in the Sony Cup Series for being the first ever 2-Time Champion with a total of 24 wins in his career and during most of the series history was the most winning driver from Season 1 until 2016. Johnson retired from full-time competition at the end of the 2016 Season to go race in other racing series but returned in a one-off attempt in the 2018 Daytona 500 and was leading with less than 10 laps to go in this year Daytona 500.

Richard Johnson has never won the Daytona 500, however, has led at the white flag lap in the Daytona 500 up to 3 times in his career but never a Daytona 500 win. Johnson has stated a win in the Daytona 500 would complete his Sony Cup Series resume as he has accomplished everything possible that he'd want to achieve except the Daytona 500. Johnson has stated an attempt in the 2019 Daytona 500 is on the table but for what team is still not confirmed.
