Round 10 of Richmond

Post by FUEL on May 17th 2018, 10:20 pm

It has been years since we raced on the short track in Virginia! The Sony Cup Series drivers will take to the short track for the first time in 10 seasons! It will be one to watch as it'll be the series first night race of the year! 40 cars will race in the 150 mile race this weekend. Qualifying has already been ran as the series will not be airing qualifying live for this weekend... Here are the results from qualifying!

During Qualifying, Dom Caps, Matthew Rodriguez, Dillon Young and Casey Lester all wrecked in Turn 4 and had to go to back up cars and per SCS rules that means they will have to go to the rear of the field for the race! Also, this is the last race Bradley Bishop Jr. will have to start at the rear of the field due to part of his penalty a few weeks back.

D. Kurtis: "A 17th place qualifying run is solid, I honestly expected much worse than anticipated. We'll see how well we can do, I suppose."

J. Kurtis: "Hopefully Schwallenberg can bring us a solid result, he's solid at short tracks normally. Unfortunate for Hernandez to miss out though, he's been having some solid showings here and there too."
