ARCSOA announces new changes effective immediately
ARCSOA announces a new points system
Due in part to ARCSOA losing four cars on the grid. ARCSOA has announced that there will be a new points system in place for season 25. This points system is actually the most simple points system of all time. 30 points will be awarded to the winner, with a 1 point reduction for every point after that, with last place earning one point. For special event races such as the American 700 and the Indianapolis 250, the points system will be amended where 42 points will be awarded to the winner and counts down from there.
ARCSOA announces new weekend format for certain races
The biggest change is the fact that races are now 100 miles across the board, outside of the Indianapolis 250 and American 700. With that major change, ARCSOA has announced that ALL races will now become doubleheaders outside of those two weekends. This is how the new format will go.
Step 1: Everyone qualifies for Race #1 of the weekend.
Step 2: Results/points are taken for Race #1 of the weekend.
Step 3: All lead lap cars from race 1, will be inverted. All cars finishing a lap or more down will start at the rear of the grid. That grid becomes the starting order for race 2.
Step 4: Race #2 results and points are recorded.
