Kovin Black to join the series as a free agent

A friend of the Demax family, Kovin Black has had his share of experience in motorsports. The youngster has driven in legends, late models, and has shown a ton of success in sprint cars. He has shown some interest in joining the series, and as long as he drives in a car for the 2019 season, he states he will be content.

AFRT confirms their 2019 lineup

Owner Andreas Allen has recently revealed to the press of their 2019 HNS lineup. With 2 cars being fielded, with one being full time, while the other being part time, AFRT is inheriting the remnants of the soon to be defunct Fearsport team. AFRT in the SCS has showcased massive amount of improvements with their cars, as the speed for the teams has been much better. With them also having a HNS program, they too are looking forward in finding success within the secondary series.

Bradley Bishop Jr. has been confirmed to drive the #44 Dodge Challenger for the 2019 season. Currently driving for Red Stallion Racing, Bishop was contacted by Allen, into which he seeked a veteran that would help build the team. Bishop Jr. has had a roller coaster of a season in 2018, into which he was in the #81 for Blue Flare Motorsports, before he was sent down to the Hardee's Series due to actions early on in the season. Bishop Jr. is looking to get back on a clean slate, and with a AFRT ride, it could bring back his confidence.

As for the part time car, it will be filled with Cup regulars. Andreas Allen himself stated that he will pilot the #43 at Daytona, while Chris Dodd, who will come over to the AFRT stable in 2019, will pilot the remaining races in terms of double header weekends.

AFRT is a team that could be reckoned with in 2019, as they have a lineup of veterans and SCS drivers in those seats.

Tommy Roberts Racing to add a second car

Tommy Roberts Racing has announced that they will add a second car, though it will be on a part time basis for the team. As of numbers and sponsors, they are unknown at the moment. However, this has caused another increase in car count.

Update: The part time is confirmed to be the #38, while the #58 will be swapped with the #34.

Kovin Black to the #51 for Castle Racing in 2019

Shortly after announcing himself into free agency, Castle Racing gave Black a call, and he immediately accepted the ride. Kovin Black will pilot the #51 Ford Mustang for Castle Racing. With them moving to Ford, they expect to potentially be within the midpack range in 2019, and with Black wanting to get more experience, it will certainly be quite an adventure for the youngster.

Energy Magnate Shane Hill To Hopefully Field Achilles Autosport In HNS

Shane Hill, CEO of Exelon Corporation, will hopefully field a two-car operation in the Hardee's National Series in 2019. He has met with Chase Dunbar, a youngster who did computer-aided design for him and a budding racer himself in regional series. Dunbar, 18, will hopefully pilot the Hitachi/Constellation Energy #46 Ford Mustang for AA, while Conway Ricard, of Belgium and also 18 years old, comes over to the States to race the #00 Solvay Ford Mustang for AA. Both are open to other offers, and if so, these cars will be used for research and development.

Hero Motorsports to discontinue their HNS program, Turner Performance announces their new driver for 2019

It has been a rather eventful year for the #27 team in the Hero Motorsports camp, but due to the lack of success within the program, it is announced that they will no longer be in the HNS after 2018, as they will focus on the development of their Cup team with them switching to Ford. This means that the #27 will be on sale in terms of owner's points, so it will give many teams wanting in an opportunity to pounce on the situation.

In the Turner Performance camp, they have revealed their second driver for 2019. After many negotiations, Kyle Basaglia has been announced to drive the #17 Ford Mustang for 2019. With Richardson leaving, Basaglia will be alongside James Shelly in the Turner lineup. It is Basaglia's 3rd year in the series, and with him leaving Ike Durbin Inc., it could be a jumpstart to showcase the raw pace and capabilities the two can show next year. TaxAct has been announced as a sponsor for the #17, there are rumors that the #17 will get more sponsors, but has yet to be revealed.

James Silverfox Expresses Interest In Hardees Campaign

Former Sony Cup driver James Silverfox will be leaving YAMP Motorsports and the Sony Cup Series, but perhaps it may not be the end of the road for the long-time series veteran.

"You know as this year has gone by I've really enjoyed racing part-time, and while I do not miss the weekly pressure of performing in the top tier series, I do still enjoy getting out there on the race track. I've been watching the Hardees series quite a bit over this year and spent some time in the garages and I was pretty blown away by the more lax culture of the 2nd division. I'll admit, the more humble and lax culture is giving me some interest in getting out there again on a weekly basis. I don't think my head can take a full-time Sony Cup affair again, but I'd definitely would like to give Hardees a shot, if someone will have me of course.

William Brock to a part time ride in 2019

William Brock will drive the #7 for a part time schedule, the former Horizon Group driver has stirred some controversy due to actions at Daytona in the summer. However, with him being a free agent, and with a good amount of experience, the YAMP team took in Brock. Despite a part time status, Brock is looking to be in a solid ride nonetheless.

Update: The #7 will be full time for 2019.

Janiero Motorsports announces their driver for 2019

James Silverfox has been signed to drive the #10 Dodge for the upcoming Janiero Motorsports team, and with them Previ will join the #10 as well. Silverfox had recently announced his retirement from Sony Cup Series racing, and decided to join the Hardee's National Series field as a way of "having more fun and to simply experiement." Silverfox stated that as long as he was in a car, he was satisfied, and that wish was granted shortly after announcing his free agency. Silverfox may surprise some and outperform in the car, and could give some midfield teams a run for their money.

Özkan to drive for Joseph Srigley Racing in 2019

Big news came into play as Samet Özkan will drive the #98 for Joseph Srigley Racing, the new team has been aiming for a veteran, and Özkan was one of the many that were called in, into which he accepted. A solid midfield runner, Özkan is looking to try and give the new team a bit of a jumpstart in points when it comes to the top 30, as they are locked into the first 5 races for 2019.

Yepez breaks ties with Fitzwater-Australia Racing, forms new team

Diego Yepez recently announced that he will not pilot the #77 for Fitzwater Australia Racing. Instead, he will create the newly formed Diego Yepez Incorporated team, with them going to Ford, the Venezuelan team marks its presence, as they are looking to obtain the remnants of the #82's owners points, as it will be only one car with the #03 as it, with Order of the Arrows as a sponsor. Yepez will drive for his own team, as he believes he can jumpstart the team to a good start, and if they obtain the owners points, the team could very well have a headstart.

Onjack to Fitzwater Australia Racing for 2019, Yepez obtains the #82's owners points

With Yepez recently announcing his resignation from Fitzwater Australia Racing, Peter Onjack was called onto the table by Fitzwater to pilot the #77, therefore completing their lineup for the 2019 season.

Yepez has recently obtained the #82's owners points for 2019, meaning that his team will have a headstart compared to the other kickstarter teams. This is going to be fundamental for them as they will definitely manage to jump many competitors in points.

Free agents continue to rise as spots gradually begin to run out

Many more drivers has showcased their interest into joining the series, that being Sebastian Cucalon, Logan Cloud, Shade Eaves, and Cody Goforth. Each and every one of them want to showcase their worth and talent, and are willing to showcase their dedication to the series. There are still plenty of spots open, and it's a matter of whether team owners are looking into who they're wanting to hire. It will certainly be a handful as the months wind down.

Ike Durbin Inc. to cease operations after 2019

Despite showcasing a massive improvement in speed, team owner Ike Durbin has decided to shut down operations after 2019. The team earned one win in a dominant fashion by Matt Daleo, as he led a majority of the race at Texas. However, the team has struggled in terms of consistency, and have had a fair share of wrecked cars throughout. Kyle Basaglia has had some solid runs in the #86, but would run mostly inside the top 15 to top 10 area.

With Daleo moving to FUEL Brothers Racing in Sony Cup, while Basaglia migrates to the Turner Performance team, it led to an unknown future for the team, leading to them shutting down eventually. This leaves the #2 and #86's owners points and assets up for grabs, but Durbin himself will determine who would obtain them. Dodge itself seems to lack in car counts for 2019, and it seems they will decrease even more compared to the Ford's and Chevy's.

Cody Goforth has been announced to pilot the #38 A&W and K-Love Ford Mustang for the team on a part time basis. A recent entry into free agency, Goforth has gotten himself a ride for the 2019 season.

Tommy Roberts stated that, "This ride will give him valuable experience he needs to move up in the Sony Universe."

The team has purchased UER's #34 owner's points for the #34 as well.

Trailblazer to buy Ike Durbin Inc. remnants, and bring in AFRT alliance in the process

With the announcement of Ike Durbin Inc. shutting down, Trailblazer (who recently moved to Dodge), immediately pounced on the situation and bought both the owner's points and assets from the team.

Also, they had recently signed a deal with AFRT to receive support, giving them access to engines in order for them to get a solid boost. It is expected that they will run about the same pace as Ike Durbin Inc., but they could surprise a lot of drivers and could potentially pull off some top 5s. The driver has yet to be announced as of now.

The midpack area is going to be quite competitive, as a lot of teams will be trying to get themselves into the top 10 area, but many are expected to run around the top 20 area. The competition is getting much more intense, and even the front running teams can be contested by the mid field teams as well.

Tommy Roberts Racing to have a 3rd car, a new team forms, and 2 new drivers enters the HNS spectrum

The press had a field day as of recent, into which 3 different announcements were made.

Tommy Roberts Racing has released a statement into which a 3rd car will be entered for the HNS, and in a similar manner to the second car, meaning that it will be part time. Rumors have it if Cody Goforth performs well at Daytona for the team, it may lead to the #38 team going forth in pursuing a full time deal for the team. The number revealed is the #35, but the sponsors are unknown as of now.

Once again, another new team has formed in the HNS, once again bringing the field to nearly 60 entries (including part time cars). They have named themselves as Team NSDCA, into which many fans and journalists are unsure of what the acronym stands for. However, they have added a twist to their lineup.

Logan Cloud and Shade Eaves are to be in one car, each running half the races, while Brandon Morris and Sebastian Cucalon will drive in the other car. Similar to Fearsport's #07 and Mace Enterprises #5 from this year, they will serve as "owner's points" cars and will certainly try and seek the top 30 in owner's points by the end of it. Their numbers and sponsors have not been confirmed, but it is known that they will serve as a Ford team.

Two driver has joined the free agency field in the HNS, and one of them is Jay Jefferson. Jefferson has been friends with the Team NSDCA people, and they all flooded the free agency market. While his friends created Team NSDCA, Jefferson is looking into other teams to try and find his start there. He has showcased interest in the newly formed Performance Grading Motorsports team, so it may be something owner Allan Hopp may have to keep in mind. The other driver, Simon Bloomfield, is also looking to find a ride in the series, and he himself wants to join into the fray. He too is looking for a ride as well.

The market continues to get bigger and bigger as the Hardee's National Series has found a peak in interest. With 2019 getting closer and closer, it could get bigger if it keeps up at this rate as many teams and upcoming drivers are optimistic for the years to come and to potentially put their mark in history in the HNS and potentially the SCS.

CEO of the Hardee's National Series to fully close the doors on new team entries

With so many new teams joining the series, leading to nearly 60 cars entering, CEO Ash Kurtis has announced that the series will close the door on more new teams entering.

"I believe we have plenty of new teams coming into the fray for 2019. It's quite a lot to say the least. To know that so many teams are willing to invest into the series is a good thing, but I think we are good enough on the field, as there are going to be so many drivers and teams for 2019. Who knows, when some teams shut down, it could bring some new ones to pounce on the situation in 2020 or even much later. We'll just have to wait and see."

The HNS will still allow new driver entries, but as mentioned, the team limit has now been implemented.

Ludger to Trailblazer in 2019

With Trailblazer obtaining Ike Durbin equipment and the owner's points, they have finally announced their driver for 2019. Max Ludger, who has previously driven for S3 Motorsports, will drive the #99 Dodge Challenger for 2019. With veteran experience, the team could be a dark horse team to look out for in 2019.

TJ Smith and Brady Burkhart enters free agency, Performance Grading Motorsports announces second driver, and Yepez confirms their one-off driver for 2019

TJ Smith has entered free agency for 2019. An owner in other venues, Smith is looking to expand his racing resumé and is looking to find his presence in 2019.

Brady Burkhart has also entered as a new agent, he too is wanting to pursue a ride, similar to that of the Team NSDCA guys.

Performance Grading Motorsports have finally found their second driver. Jay Jefferson will pilot the #80 Chevy Camaro for the team. He will be joining Nathan Ormond on the team.

Diego Yepez Incorporated has also announced their one-off driver shortly afterwards. Jacob Edson will drive the #76 for the team as a one-off entry for Daytona. It will be unsponsored as mentioned in an earlier headline, but Edson wanted to experience what it was like to drive a Hardee's National Series car, and he got the call from Yepez and took it.
