Round 18 of Canadian Tire Motorsports Park

Post by FUEL on July 12th 2018, 2:52 pm

This race marks as the halfway point in the season. After Round 18, we begin the second half of the season. Realistically, 7 drivers come into this race with a shot at stringing together solid runs and coming away with the title for 2018. The focus after this race shifts on the title as the title fight starts to begin very much real. Sebring last weekend was a big twist in the title as Turner lost valuable points and brought his competition closer to him... can the rest of the title contenders continue to reel the gap in this weekend or will Turner get back on track this weekend?

D. Kurtis: "With the #78's grid penalty we should start on the inside line. P13 isn't too bad but a lot better than our Q trim at Sebring. This new format has really hindered my Q runs I suppose, I just gotta adjust to it. As long as I survive I think I'll be satisfied."

J. Kurtis: "Fantastic effort for Luis, Schwal was lucky he made it, but he gave us some feedback and said that the car was better in a long stint and that he made a few mistakes. We'll try and adjust the car to his liking, as well as Hernandez's in order for us to get some solid finishes for Canadian Tire."

John Arndt: I'm starting to get on a roll. Might be starting in the back but that doesn't mean I'm going to give up. Going to use this chance to hopefully give some attention to me for team owners for next season.

Dodd: "Another rather bleh starting spot, but we made it to Q2 so that is an improvement for sure. Hopefully we can have a solid run and stay out of trouble all day, and come away with a decent finish."

Post-Race:
Finguy: Oh, my god we actually pulled it off... My god we did it... First win, first freaking win! And my baby girl, she's not letting go when I stepped out of the car... My god. Thank you Dodge, Thank you Allen, thank you Nintendo, Castrol, Jack Daniel's, Roosterteeth, thank you all! I'm blessed to finally had this done. Had this checked off, we got it done... My family has grown, and I proved my girl right. 'Her daddy can win'... Her daddy DID win!!
*With a hold to his daughter Iris, he joins his crew to celebrate the win*
