2018 Round 25: Atlanta
The breaking point for many drivers are rising, as West snatched the points lead, breaking the tie breaker between him and TJ Martin. The two are still neck and neck for the championship, while everyone else is distant from the two. West, despite receiving damage at Dover near the beginning of the event, settled for a top 5 finish, and Martin was not too far behind him. Alex Benyacko won the race after his fellow teammate Jek Porkins experienced issues in fuel, and had to come down pit lane, giving the win to the #8, his second win of the season.
Atlanta Motor Speedway has been a staple for stock car racing, as it's had multiple configurations, and usually good racing all around. This is the first time the Hardee's National Series will go to the track, as the Sony Cup drivers have raced there for many years in the past. The track has multiple grooves, but it is mostly an inside line track, while the outside at times can still showcase some momentum on the exit of the corners. Tire wear is fundamental, as drivers will have to learn to have to save their tires, as some drivers may have a good long run car, while others may fade.
