*No Bull 5 Fan Contest Overhauled*
The No Bull 5 Challenge has received a new format. Now each contestant must submit one unique list with any five drivers. For each driver who qualified for the next round the contestant gains 1 point. Then points are rewarded based on were the driver finished out of all other No Bull 5 Drivers. 1st is 5 pts., 2nd is 4, 3rd is 3, 4 is 2, 5 is 1. Lastly 1 Bonus point are given if the selected driver wins the No Bull 5 and the Race.

*New Busch Team Has Cup Plans*
The new Fitz Bradshaw Busch Series team has announced that they plan to expand into the Cup Series starting with a partial 2003 season before going full-time in 2004. The team currently runs the #12 Supercuts Chevrolet with an alliance with DEI running Kerry Earnhardt whom are currently 19th in points coming off an impressive 8th place finish two weeks ago at Nashville after a rough start of the year. The team will run the #83 Chevrolet although whether the alliance or driver will return is unknown. Supercuts is going to sponsor the #83 next year and is expected to also in 2004 although that is not officially confirmed.

*Mayfield and Ganassi Sign Long Term Extention*
Jeremy Mayfield has announced that he has signed a 3 year contract extention to remain in the #41 Target Ganassi Dodge through 2005. The team may not be exactly were they want to be at but they have made big improvements from the position they were in last year and hope to remain together long-term to eventually grow to the point their teammate/point leader 40 Marlin is at.

*Pontiac Begins Leaving Sport, Gibbs to Chevrolet in 2003*
Joe Gibbs Racing has signed a new 5 year deal with GM through 2007. However a big part of the deal is a switch from Pontiac to Chevrolet as GM looks to phase Pontiac out of the sport to focus on Chevrolet. Expect GM to slowly have all remaining team make the transition within the next couple seasons.

*News Format to be Revamped for 2003*
NASCAR and each team have agreed upon a new way to release Silly Season Updates. Rather than milk everything out slow NASCAR teams will now each be given a weekend in the 2nd half of the year to release their plans for next season. Each multi-car team will have there own race with single car teams being grouped by make for one race each and NASCAR being given a date to release the schedule and any other potential updates. The schedule for this will be released at a later time. Any mid-season changes will be announced as they occur.

*Robinson & Bam Part Ways*
Bam Racing has announced that they have mutually agreed to go separate ways effective immediately. The duo have struggled to make races missing nearly half thus far and are the lowest full-time team in owner points. Arca veteran Bobby Gerhart has been tabbed as the replacement. Gerhart was scheduled to run 4 more races at Phoenix Racing but the 09 co-driver Elton Sawyer will now take over those races upping is races from 6 to 10 with the team. Robinson has shown some potential on the track and is actively looking to return to the track as soon as possible however if she does not find something this season she will keep her rookie status since she only ran in 7 races.

*Infineon Buys Naming Rights to Sears Point*
Sears Point Raceway will now be known as Infineon Raceway as Infineon has bought out naming rights to the track in a 10 year deal through 2012 in a deal similar to former Charlotte Motor Speedway now Lowe's Motor Speedway.
