2016 Round 2 of Road Atlanta

Go or Go Homer Qualifying:

After qualifying:
Collins: "Man, sucks I couldn't make it. I'm hoping Pericles isn't regretting signing me to his team after missing two races in a row. Congrats to Pericles though, he really showed up towards the end and and finished in the top 7. Then there's Angel Navarro, he's a driver who caught my eye in the 500, sucks he had to get thrown out of the race for Sean Perkins, but, whatcha gonna do?"

Shultz: "Dammit, two races in a row where I didn't qualify. This season is going to be difficult. I do agree with Collins, dissapointing Navarro couldn't make it due to the championship provisional. But I guess there's nothing he can do about it, just keep improving for the next round he competes in."

Conrad Matthews: "Hell yea CJ, making the race like a boss. I knew this partnership would be a fine one, hope all my family down in Tennessee are proud. I'm also thankful IKEA wanted to sponsor the #0 car because that's helping us a lot as well!"

Dodd: "YES YES YES YES YES!!!! I can't believe I am going to make my very first SCS start! I want to thank God first and foremost for allowing me to be here today, without Him none of this would be possible. I also want to thank IKEA and Conrad Matthews for sticking with me and helping me through this process, and to this team, man this team is awesome, and Tommy(Turbo) man, my crew chief, he is the bomb, he's been working day and night to get this car just right, even with the limited resources we have, and it paid off! DaleYeah I'm so pumped to get this race started!!!!"

I just hope to stay wheels down and finish the darn thing.

Bishop Jr: "Nooo, so close. If I could've gotten a little bit faster to top Dodd's time I would've gotten Titanium Motorsports their first ever Sony Cup Series start. I guess I'll be up in Luke (Martin)'s Pitbox again cheering him on."

SCS at Road Atlanta theme:

Pericles:"Great Run for Me, but I'm not angry at my drivers. They tried, and in the end of the day; you don't make it. I will personally work with RSR Technicians to improve the speed of White and Collins."

Myatt: Car was garbage, no control over it at all. Kind of pathetic knowing that Road Atlanta is my best track.

Perkins: I do not know who the moron in the 34 is. But he was weaving all over the track going down death valley. Trying to block me like it was the last lap of the race. He comes out of the chicane doing 20 MPH slower then myself, so I get up on him and turn him. Just because I won last week does not mean that I won't drive any differently. If you cross me, you get dumped!

Kurtis: "Well, we did good at Daytona, and I hope it continues today, I feel like I can be strong here."

Brock: "Well, we wrecked out in the 500; hopefully me and Pollard can well here at my home track."

Finguy: "It's a good thing I had a clear track. But I bet just making the field is just what runs our luck dry. I'm very happy both of our cars made it in. Road Courses was our bread and butter. Let's hope that moves on to the other tracks."

Daleo: looking forward to this race, we had a good run at Daytona, hopefully we can keep this momentum going.

Syron: "Had a great race at Daytona, but not expecting anything good to happen here. Just need to avoid trouble"

Cavy: Watching an old friend I knew when I was just a kid, in the 34 Colby Jackson wheeling that thing. Nice to be talking to him the whole time during his qualifying laps.

Pericles:" Not to be rude or anything, but with your driving style Perkins..how the hell did you win a championship?"

Perkins: Very easily... The drivers were smarter back then. They gave more room on the track. We didn't have a couple of young dimwits out there that think they can weave all over the god damn track! These God damn fools think they can block during qualifying when I am on a hotlap. The quality of racers around me were better. Now you have to worry about which god damn clown decides he can't control his god damn race car. Hence why when you eliminate the idiots, the race gets a whole lot better. As in the case of the Daytona 500 this year!

Finguy: "Yeah, yeah. Sure Sean. Sure. How about you go retire already."

27th. Just couldn't avoid trouble out there.

Daleo: we had a great run today, car felt good and we stayed outta trouble. Hopefully this momentum stays with us going forward.

Freeman: "Man, dissapointing day for Blue Flare. One 25th, and then the other two BFM drivers finished in the last two spots (41st,42nd). I guess this means we need to go home, regroup ourselves, and come back next round stronger then ever."

Noah: As the owner, I am really proud with our runs! We finished 4th, 8th, and 11th! We all ran strong just got into some trouble here and there. Good run over all. Feeling real good about winning a race and getting the chase for our cars! Congrats to DJ on getting his 10th career win. I know that's a big accomplishment, hoping we can get my brother his 10th here soon and maybe get my 4th win soon.

Dodd: "An OK run for our first race, finishing 24th. I had a lot of fun making my first start, and racing with the #47 especially, it helps me get some much-needed experience, and hopefully we can continue making races."

Finguy: "It's an amazing sight when you are really practically racing against guys like Mace, and Jacob Hart. As well as new crop like Stark and Lynn. Heck. If I had a few more laps. I would had a fight with Kurtis. It was a fight I'm proud of taking. It helped us in points. My fire's back. And you know right now we're getting better equipment. We're getting better every week. I'm starting to think we can pull this team around."

Kurtis: "What a great start for the CBM team. I can tell our speed has improved so far, I thank them for it. I have to see if our speed at intermediates have improved as well. I apologize for the Mace incident, he'll get his win sooner or later, I know it."
