2016 Daytona 500 Stats
Perkins with the win gives him a good shot to make the 2016 Chase.
With 30 races at stake before the Chase, 16 guys making the chase. We have a good chance to have more than 16 different winners but winning a race you'll have to also be inside the Top 25 in Points to make it.
Nick Mace in the Daytona 500 led the most laps, leading 84 of the 200 laps.
Sean Perkins led 58 laps
Zebulun Stark led 18 laps
Luke Martin led 10 laps
DJ Kurtis led 9 laps
Jordan Davis led 8 laps
Noah Hart led 7 laps
Zachary Fitzwater led 4 laps
Skye Commons led 1 lap
Richerd Johnson finished the highest from his starting position from 37th to 10th.
Skye Commons started 38th and went to the front by lap 60 to lead a lap.
Treck Tauger and Dillon Young never saw the Top 15 until after the big one.
Treck Tauger in the BFM took the lead with 5 to go (but did not lead at the line) for the first time all race after hanging at the rear of the field from lap 1 til lap 195.
Nick Mace marked the fastest speed of the entire race at 224.768mph.
We saw 6 mechanical failures involving #8 Zachary Fitzwater, #10 Cody Llamas (twice), #59 Dom Caps, #81 Alan Cavagnaro, and #9 Skye Commons.
