Season 20 Championship Predictor Empty Re: Season 20 Championship Predictor

Post by f1fan April 14th 2016, 10:28 pm

Right now I am thinking someone in the top 12 is going to be the Champion. I honestly do not see either CVDP or H. Sandfer winning it. I think they will both struggle at Talladega. To be honest, I do not see Griffin or Riucu taking the title either. How the hell Riucu is in the top 5 is beyond me. Watch for Kurtis and Myatt to jump up at Willow Springs. Honestly, Myatt has had better race pace then Sandfer, but has had terrible luck. Kurtis has likewise had bad luck. Although I have a hard time seeing him doing well at Phoenix which could be his downfall.

Baskinger once again is my championship favorite. I think he has the best car on the grid for Phoenix. Plus I see him really doing well at Willow Springs. Syron is another one that can really be interesting because he is a monster on the Superspeedways and is a serious threat to win the 400 miler at Dega. Syron only needs to learn how to handle the Short Ovals.

Out of the people in the Blue, the only person I see anything out of is Angel. Angel's over-aggression has cost him quite a lot all season. Plus I think that Porsche is also quite overrated. I do not think the Porsche's have developed terribly well all season.

My prediction for the top 5 in championship

1. Baskinger (Wins Phoenix)
2. Myatt (Wins Willow Springs)
3. H. Sandfer
4. Kurtis (Does well at PIR and Willow Springs, but falters at Dega)
5. CVDP (Chokes under pressure)

Unless my luck improves, I don't see my guy winning it. My bet is on Sandfer. He's running his best at the right time.

I'm going in a very different direction. As of late, the top 3 have been choking away any chance to increase their points and other teams are taking advantage. Riucu has been sneaking his way and getting points. If he can get a win as the leaders choke more and more, he could come to Talladega with a very great and underdog chance and steal a championship without a win.

But as a front-runner I can easily see someone like Baskinger, Myatt, or hell, even Jacob Hart as the guys who've been here a somewhat long time could walk away a winner and get into position. But they have to win, and now. It comes down to just a few points but, thank god to say Talladega will be a fun one now coming down to the wire.

I am going to have to be insanely lucky to get any where near, so not going to stress about it (Btw, first time since season 18 I have not been a factor in this championship)

Honestly, I see Henry Sandfer winning this championship, he has been insanely consistent. He probably would have been more secure if he had not had problems at Charlotte.

In all honesty, I would need a miracle to be eligible to even be in championship talks.

My Bet Van Pesch. Just because he has been more dominate all season long than Sandfer has. Although A few bad races for both Sandfer and Pesch and that opens up the door for my Teammate Griffin.
