Kline In Serious Condition -- Martin With Back Problems Empty Kline In Serious Condition -- Martin With Back Problems

During todays race, Kline was airlifted straight away to a local hospital after his violent wreck. He got clipped by Cody Llamas and spun into the wall and his stock car got snagged into the wall causing the car to come to a dead stop. The speed deceleration went from 140mph to 0mph in just seconds and then Kline got slammed in the drivers door by both Llamas and Smith and the car continued to be hung in the wall so he absorbed every hit and didn't move at all. The G-Forces in those hits were some of the hardest in recent memory. The way safety features are today we didn't expect it to be as serious but it was very much so... The wreck took a major toll on Kline, as he is reported to have several broken ribs and a massive head injury. Kline has yet to communicate with anyone. With injuries like this Kline will most definitely not be in the car going into Decatur. Andreas Allen the team owner has hired on Skye Commons to drive the #44 until Kline can return. This leaves room over for the #3 now. Titanium Motorsports and Yamp Motorsports have a deal going on to help provide engines, so Yamp Motorsports HNS Driver of Steven Jenkins will be taking over the #3 Cup car for Commons for the mean while.

Luke Martin took a massive wreck at Indy soaring high in the air. The speeds were so great the car took off into the air after making contact with Jordan Fisher. The car went so high up the landing has really messed up Martin's back. Doctors have told Martin that they want him to stay out the car for 3-5 weeks and do a recovery program to help his back. If Martin were to get back into the car and wreck again it could take an even worse toll on his back than ever that could cause an injury that'll sit him out for the rest of the season. Martin is taking the precautionary measures and is putting in experience driver of his who also drives in the HNS to drive his #6 car, Shaun Gallighan will be back replacing him for the mean while.

We hope for the best recovery for Martin and we hope this isn't the end of Kline's career as this is a serious injury.

Too bad those guys got hurt. Indy has been a hot spot for having big crashes (last season anyone?). But I'm a lot more concerned about our safety in these cars now. Is there a way for us to drive next season's car in a few select races this season? That would be cool to me. Kinda like what the Nextel Cup series did back in 2007 with the COT cars.
