Cyberton Motorsports FIRES Matt Daleo!

After a miserable year with CBM the #7 team just has not been able to do well like the #10 and #19 have. DJ Kurtis and Cody Llamas sit 12th and 14th while Matt Daleo is currently 44th in points! Just look at these stats.

DJ Kurtis: 12th in points, 1 win, 3 top 5s, 6 top 10s, 6 DNFs, 0 DNQs, 28 laps led this year

Cody Llamas: 14th in points, 0 wins, 2 top 5s, 6 top 10s, 4 DNFs, 0 DNQs, 4 laps led this year

Matt Daleo: 44th in points, 0 wins, 0 top 5s, 1 top 10, 6 DNFs, 4 DNQs, 1 lap led this year


With a CBM team and equipment... you should not even be failing to qualify for races. This has been a season long ongoing struggle for Team #7... Daleo gets the same cars, engines, and equipment as Llamas and Kurtis gets however he just can't seem to get any luck on his side.




Last year, Daleo came runner up two times and ran solid most the year for his first year with CBM.

WHO WILL REPLACE DALEO?

Well, owner of Cyberton Motorsports wanted to keep the 3rd car as a developmental team for young drivers but after the release of talented drivers from Swagger Motorsports of Caps and Duncan, the owner of CBM has decided to pick up Season 6 Sony Cup Series Champion, Dom Caps as the replacement in the #7 car HOWEVER, CBM is giving Dom Caps only 4 races to show his worth... If Dom Caps impresses CBM they'll keep him around but if he does not... They will release him.

That was rather unexpected...

I think next season, depending whether the HNS continues or not, we should only have 3 or 4 drivers at the most that won't qualify for races and maybe a more thorough doing of the ratings.

Like I've noticed, this season drivers who did great last season aren't this season. Like Matt Daleo for example. Cavagnaro is another example. Matt Duncan is on a team which is expected to make races. And they're getting beat out by teams like CM, SUMS, etc. It's just a thought I've had.

It's official that the #3 Titanium Motorsports Ford will be fielding both Steven Jenkins and Matt Daleo until August. Then whoever out of the two performs better will get the ride for the rest of the season.
