What is your favorite race of all time
Mine has to be this...

Some people call it the Greatest Open Wheel Road Course race of all time. It had fights, it had on track battles, it had a last lap pass, it had everything you could possibly imagine. The thing that also makes this race special for me is, that this was the first major sporting event after the departure of the Cleveland Browns... CART came in and put on a THRILLING race for the Cleveland Sports fans! Watch the last 2 laps of the race, and picture that for 90 laps.

Re: What is your favorite race of all time
Wow, this is a tough one. I've seen a lot of races (mainly NASCAR) since I started watching motorsports about 15 years ago.
But, if I had to pick there's two that I would say.
The first I would consider my favorite oval track race. And that is without question the Ricky Craven/Kurt Busch late battle at Darlington in 2003.
But my favorite just race (in name and definition), has to be the NHRA Pro Stock Final from Thunder Valley (Bristol) in 2012 (have to double check year). Mike Edwards over Allen Johnson. The margin of victory was four digits to the right of 0. 0.0000, a dead heat in other words.
Start at the 7:50 mark.

Re: What is your favorite race of all time
My first ever race that I watched was the 2001 Daytona 500, and we know what happened there. While I was too young to realize the importance if that day(I was 6), something that day made me a fan(particularly of Dale JR). So a lot of my favorite races involve him.
Those in particular are the 2001 Pepsi 400, the 2004 Daytona 500, the 2010 July Daytona Nationwide race, the 2012 Michigan win, obviously the 2014 Daytona 500, and the 2015 Talledega race. But honestly, even though it wasn't as important, my favorite out of all of them was the 2014 Martinsville race. To see the pure joy on Dale JR's face, and jumping up and down with the team, it really showed why even though some consider him to be overrated, it cemented why I will always be a fan of Dale JR.
BUT, saying that, my 2 non-Dale Jr related races have to be the 2003 Darlington race and the 2011 Waktins Glen with Brad K. VS Marcos Ambrose. That finish was absolutely NUTS!
In terms of non-NASCAR races, give me any of the Penske Indy 500 wins, but man, that 2011 Indy 500 where JR Hilenbrand choked on the final corner and Dan Wheldon went on to win was crazy. And I always remember watching Ricky Carmichael(who I still believe got screwes by Monster Energy in NASCAR) race that dirt bike like no one else has ever or will ever do.

In 2000 where Juan Pablo Montoya battle Michael Andretti for the last 15 laps and it comes down to the line.
