Who Surprised You The Most At Michigan?

Post by FUEL on July 24th 2016, 11:45 pm

Out of our top 5 running drivers at the end of the race, who surprised you the most?

1. #5 Jordan Davis? Davis started all the way back in 36th to 1st in 43 laps... On lap 43 he took the lead and didn't look back. Leading the final 8 laps of the race and taking home the win for his 2nd career win and 4th career victory. He passed the most cars that day. He came from so far back to win.

2. #28 James Silverfox? He started all the way back in 34th and followed Davis up the field to get into 2nd spot behind Davis in the final few laps... Looking for a way to get past Davis for the win Silverfox came up just a half a car length to the win.

3. #16 Eric Burton? Under our 2nd caution of the day Eric Burton hit the wall and spun sideways AND SAVED IT! He saved the car without much to any damage... He restarted mid field and slowly came up through the field to have a great top 5 finish!

4. #06 Stephen Pollard III? The underdog! Pollard III is hired by ARC Racing to give the younger rookies of the team advice and help the team qualify into the races. The #06 ARC Racing team is the only ARC Racing team to have to qualify into the races. Pollard III does a good job of qualifying the car into the shows with Dajon Weeks struggles to do so. William Brock the driver of the #66 ARC car is locked into the races so he doesn't have to worry. Stephen Pollard III does well to give the team solid finishes and qualify in. Pollard had a Top 10 finish at Chicagoland earlier this year finishing 9th and he was a serious threat to actually win for ARC Racing and give them their first career win. This team is growing into something big and Pollard showed out with an effort to try and win finishing in the Top 5.

5. #47 Noah Hart? He started near the rear of the field but Noah complained the car was tight early fell back to 35th... The team looked set to have yet again another bad finish but under pitstops the team worked on Noah's Toyota and climbed all the way up to as high as 3rd at the end... He fell to 5th but it was a solid effort.

6. #81 Alan Cavagnaro? The Blue Flare Motorsports team has been doing better as of late ever since South Boston. All the other BFM cars didn't get the finishes at Michigan but Alan Cavagnaro struggled in qualifying, qualifying 40th and coming out of no where to finish 6th for his 4th top 10 finish of the year. Blue Flare has been getting better they are another little team that started up last year that has yet to win a race but they are showing strength! It was a very strong effort by Alan to come up with a small team to pass 34 cars and finish that well compared to how far back they qualified!

I wish I never left the ARC Racing Car, I could have run full time with them and have more top 10s than I do with BFM lol.
