This is something I've been working on over the past few days. Yes, I've been taking my sweet time because I want the cars to be perfect. So, I'll give you guys a sneak peek on the 2017 #81 Best Buy Toyota driven by Sean Perkins.

Sneak Peek:

It's based off of Ricky Stenhouse Jr's 2014 Best Buy scheme because that is perhaps my favourite Best Buy scheme that's been in NASCAR. I really like how the scheme has been coming along. (I started with this one because I had the scheme chosen for it, unlike Siemens which I haven't chosen which idea I want... And I have no ideas yet for Perkins Restaurants. But I may base it off a Danica Patrick scheme. We'll see)

Im a fan. Looks solid. Definitely better then the schemes you made last year. Kinda seems like a scheme Joe Nemechek would've used...

It's a solid start; keep working on it. But a word of advice: don't do something to impress others. Do it to improve and impress yourself.

Solid advice from Ike. But really, don't be afraid to do something unique as well. Be original sometimes. Well, that and 'Don't make it a literal art van'.

Good advice. I'll take that and use it. I've impressed myself with it. Don't know about improvement yet, we'll see.

Spoiler:

It isn't perfect, need to fix a couple of small things(also, can someone please send me the Sony Cup Series Logo, I can't find it anywhere's), but I want to see what ya'll think of it so far.

KNEW IT!!! Athenian is our RCR type team. It uses the RCR fonts and even that exact number 3 in HNS. So yeah... You're going to have to change that.

Also I'll be making a painting thread so everyone can post cars there.

Look at the date on this video. This was the first 2017 SCS car to be painted.
https://youtu.be/4Dga9DSj8_U

Also SCS=HNS. If you claim a sponsor first in either series. It'll be carried over to the other one. (for a team of the same name) Number fonts and B-Pillars are usually assigned by who the painter is.

It's fine, I got it, I have no issue with changing the number style. Thanks for letting me know.

You haven't been hired by a team owner. You need to start at the HNS first

Out with the old sponsor, in with the new
Originally when told Kyle Collins would finally get a shot in decent equipment with FBR engines again Geico hopped on board to go from sponsoring Collins one race to the whole season. But things have changed since the beginning of the silly season.

Geico has terminated their one year contract with BFM already, doing the full payout and everything. But there was another sponsor ready to hop on board the Collins train. BFM is pleased to announce that as of right now Sunwing will now be the third and final sponsor of Kyle Collins.

OCC: I decided to take Geico out because I decided I didn't want to paint another Geico car and since I found inspiration in Sunwing I chose them.

(OOC: May be too late to join the party, but I guess it's time for me to join the fun, lol.)
(OOC#2: This character while sharing the name of my one in ARCSOA will have a different background.)

Open wheel star eyes possible move to Sony Cup Series

The Sony Cup Series has become known for the diverse natures of its drivers. Well, another person has shown interest in adding to that collective background. 26-year old open wheel driver, Ryan Griffin, who racing resume includes two series championship and 2 Indy 500 victories, has reportedly shown his interest in coming to the SCS. Griffin, who has 15 career open wheel wins, has long shown an interest in racing in stock cars. The same report also stated that Griffin would be willing to work from the bottom up should he have to.

(OOC#3: Since IRL racing series I never mentioned I just used the genetic name open wheel series for the IRL equivalent.)
