Re: 2017 SILLY SEASON
Roush: Dang, that Myatt can't take a joke can he, I'm sorry for what I said but come on. I know I shouldn't have said it, and I didn't expect him to take it so far the wrong way. On the other hand he can be just as arrogant, but I apologize. Lastly, I am apologizing towards him being upset by my comments, not because it cost me a ride

Horizon Group Racing to Retain Rodriguez, Young; Lynn's Plans Up in the Air
With Silly Season now in full swing, Horizon Group Racing has entered the fray, officially announcing what had already been assumed--that Dillon Young and Great Clips would return to the team's #78 Dodge in 2017. In addition, 3M will move over to sponsor Young on a partial basis after adjourning the hood of Matthew Rodriguez's #77 in 2016.
Speaking of Rodriguez, while it was uncertain that the current driver of the 77 would hold his ride throughout the entire season previously, it has since been announced that with his improved performance as of late, Rodriguez has been re-signed by Horizon Group Racing for the 2017 season. Mobil 1 has been announced as the sponsor to fill the gap left by 3M as they move over to Young, although the team is still in search of other partners to finish off the rest of the season.
On the other hand, while it was initially suspected that Jeffery Lynn, the team's third driver, would return to the team, sources indicate that Lynn is currently entertaining other offers at the moment. This may be in part due to the fact that primary sponsor Steaz Iced Green Tea will not return for 2017. The team is adamant that the 76 team will continue to operate regardless, and former series champion Dom Capps has been linked to the seat should Lynn not return.
Current Unofficial Lineup:
#76 - TBA - TBA
#77 - Matthew Rodriguez (2017+) - Mobil 1/TBA
#78 - Dillon Young (2017+) - Great Clips/3M

Arrow Dynamic's team principal Kenny Myatt, revealed that he had intentions of giving Scott Roush a contract offer once Silly Season began. However, recent comments from Roush about the seriousness of the team has made Myatt reconsider.
"Anybody who is as classless and as stupid as he is doesn't deserve a ride in this series. We were going to actively pursue Roush to be a driver on our team. However I have thrown that out the door because he pretty much just took a giant dump on us prior to signing."
OOC: Way to be a hypocrite. First your pissyfit over the 9 and 12, now trashing a new person for not fully understanding Roush's post implying that Roush had realistic thoughts saying that Collins would win over him.

Im not gonna take sides if this does turn out to be an argument. But I don't see the hypocrisy in those to things you mentioned.Wilhoit wrote:f1fan wrote:Myatt had intentions of looking at Roush prior to comments.

Sean Perkins confirmed to drive #81 for 2017
Blue Flare Motorsports has confirmed that Sean Perkins will be returning to the team for 2017. Only difference is that he'll be driving the #81 instead of the #41.
Current 2017 BFM situation:
#41, TBA: Starbucks, Burger King, TBA
#81, Sean Perkins: Perkins Restaurant, TBA, TBA
With BFM starting to look somewhat again they're in search for 3 sponsors a car. And they'll probably achieve it with Perkins bringing a lot of sponsorship interest to the team.

I got rid of a child not the best driver. Plus Fitzwater was the best driver at the time of your release. This is why we want drivers, not racers.f1fan wrote:MrKyleBusch1 wrote:If Tauger can pick up his speed by the end of the season then I may consider.Rovenami wrote:Update on Tauger's 2017 plans:

Re: 2017 SILLY SEASON
SUMS Has begun to look for drivers
The Getman based team is in a bit of a pickle. They have made enough funds (because of FBR back) to help push the team for 2017, however they have lost a key element to their crew. Sean Harple, who had been with the team for a long time has left to FBR, and SUMS is back making offers. "We have been stuck looking for drivers, but the market hasn't been kind to us. The big names we are looking at are Lynn, Capps, but not that many drivers on the market appeal to us, but if we have to, we will hire anyone."
OOC: If anyone needs a ride nearer to the end of the series, PM me

I feel like this was the best option after coming off a great run in July winning 2 races. It was a no brainer to continue working with this team.

#11 ??? - Crown Royal/IRWIN/Alpinestars
#12 Dom Caps - Verizon/Shell/Pennzoil
#15 Jeff James - Natures Bakery/GoDaddy.com
#60 Aaron Taylor - Roush Performance/Hopeless Records
Today we signed Dom Caps for the 2017 season. We are still on the look for one more driver to drive the #11 car. If you're interested, send me a PM. And with the signing of Jordan Davis to Mace Enterprises, I am releasing the #9 car and its sponsors, so those are up for grabs. Welcome Dom Caps to the Martin Motorsports family for 2017.
