Race Formats For Cup And National Will Be Changing Empty Race Formats For Cup And National Will Be Changing

We already ran the Daytona Speedweeks for SCS and HNS. The Daytona 500 and the 100 mile race for the National Series. The Sony Cup Series has never actually had a "set" distance for every race. Some races ran longer than others while some races were much short than other races. We'll that all changes in 2017.

In 2017, the Cup Series for now on will run 150 mile races and the National Series races will be 100 mile races. The only exceptions will be the Daytona 500. The Indy 250 could return however, Indianapolis has yet to make anything official. The Cup races will be longer causing more endurance being implemented for the Cup Series. Most races have seen in between 50-100 mile races, the inconsistency on how many miles a race has will be settled heading forward to Rockingham. We haven't heard any complaints on this ordeal however we believe this will help make the two series more iconic to everyone at home knowing exactly how long our races are no matter the track.
