William Brock - How he got his fan designed scheme/fan designed scheme reveal
Blue Flare Motorsports as of recently has been making racing headlines not for what they're doing on the track, but off the track. One of the more notable things over the past week was their Blue Flare Motorsports Developmental Camp which was designed to choose the driver of the #41 for 22nd season. But over the weekend they did more then make the drivers of the camp happy, they changed the life of a little boy.
Erik Gardner, 11, from Kingston, Ontario is a very hyper and excited boy. He's been a motorsports fan since he was five. His favourite driver is the perhaps best Canadian in the field at the moment, Kyle Collins. He loves how successful Collins has become and his survival story. On May 22nd he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He's already been through a bunch of treatments for it. But about one month ago Make A Wish Canada reached out for him. They'd let him do whatever he wanted, what did he want? To spend the day with Kyle Collins. Which Collins accepted, but he gave Erik more then he wanted, he brought Erik to the BFM HQ. He got to meet Johnson Freeman, Collins' girlfriend/crew chief Brandi Pritchett, Roman Rehall, William Brock, Maddie Myatt, and the BFM Developmental Camp drivers. Along with Nick Pericles who was casually visiting for the weekend. Collins took Erik shopping, for pizza, to his favourite poutinerie, and many more places. Collins drove him around Mosport in one of BFMs S22 Lexus models. Erik got a tour of the BFM HQ. It was an enjoyable day for the both of them. But none of what was mentioned was the best part.
Collins gave Erik the chance to design a car. But not just any car, a car for William Brock that would run in the fan scheme design races. The car is both sponsored by GoDaddy.com and Make A Wish Canada. Erik, who loves drawing, went crazy over the idea. He got a pen and paper and sketched the car design. He designed it after his hero, and favorite superhero, Captain America. The car turned out pretty well. Here is the car:
At this point, it is unknown if Erik will sadly last two months, or two years. Though it is estimated to be about 8 months tops. Which breaks Collins heart. Luckily, he will be able to see his car drive live at Darlington as Collins has purchased his family tickets to the race and Johnson Freeman will be letting Erik sit on top of the #81s pitbox for the race. This has been a life changing experience for not just Erik, but Collins as well.

Shit. That looks sexy. Can someone get a render of this? I think it'll look x10 better with a non-CarViewer render.
