Toyota's Struggling With Their Engines

Post by FUEL on October 23rd 2016, 10:40 pm

Out of the last 3 races of California, Homestead and Rockingham we have seen a total of 5 engines blow up. That's right, 5 engines blown in just 3 races. 3 straight races for Redbull blowing motors. California and Homestead, Treck Tauger blew up and at Rockingham Vincent Allen and Chaser, Zachary Fitzwater also blew up. Jacob Hart the FBR blowing at Rockingham as well has got to raise questions back at the shop for the TRD Engines. The Toyota Engines have really been faltering in the last couple of races so whatever the issue has been, Toyota really is needing to step their reliability game up. Teams like Fisher Motorsports and Red Stallion Racing are jumping ships to the Toyota camp for 2017 and with 5 teams planning to run the full schedule next year driving Toyotas the TRD company is in more need than ever to put out reliable and good quality engines to provide wins to these teams. As of now, we have seen 5 cars behind the wall for engine failures in only the last 3 races.

Roush: Maybe FBR coupd go back to making their own engines.

Noah Hart: We believe our engine failure had nothing to do with this. I think we pushed the measures on the RPMs with our cars this weekend. However, Red Bull blowing up 3 straight races might be a different story. From our stand at FBR, I think it was us pushing too hard on the boundaries for the motor.

Mart Jr: It Does pose as a prominent problem that could become something else if the situation does get worse. Hopefully, Toyota can pull through for the brigade.

Freeman: We use engines supplied to us through FBR. Because of our technical alliance with them and all. So if they're not worried, we're in no need to be worried. I'm sure if FBR finds any need to be worried they'll contact me and then we'll try and fix the problem with TRD.

Stroker: We are fine getting through this. We can put our faith in Toyota to get us the engines we need. However, with our direct allience with FBR, we are fine having to take the indecent machines. We have had to fight from the ground up before, we can do it again.
