No Speed Restrictions for Daytona

After numerous debates between drivers and ARCSOA staff, ARCSOA Interim CEO Vijay Pushanda and Race Director Todd Haley announced that the current super-speedway package is far too dangerous for the return of the old AR20. Haley stated, "The pack racing we have seen in the past at Daytona is a recipe for disaster. We have always needed to spread the field out. We are not afraid of the safety for the other drivers. We are afraid that a car may end up in the catch fence with everyone so closely packed. That is a danger to our fans."

ARCSOA plans on making the cars faster at Daytona by removing the speed limiters, and by spreading out the pack. Cars may be expected to top out at 245-250 MPH at Daytona.

Collins: There is one team I can think of that can really use this to their advantage. Team NOPEA Finland. Their Koenigsegg's are fast enough as it is, but with no speed restrictions? Damn. I expect them to be up front.
