James Silverfox comes away with the win for Yamp Motorsports his first win since last spring at Talladega, his 12th career victory.

Silverfox was 32 seconds behind the leaders at one point, coming back to win the Daytona 500 by only leading 8 laps out of 200

Jeffery Lynn led the most laps and earning an extra bonus point for doing so, leading 48 of the race's 200 laps.

We had 15 different drivers lead a lap in the Daytona 500. Here is the list of those drivers

Laps Led
Jeffery Lynn 48
Charles Sandfer 33
D.J. Kurtis 27
Alan Cavagnaro 20
Nick Mace 19
Matthew Rodriguez 14
Jeff James 14
James Silverfox 8
Jesse Turner 6
Jordan Davis 3
Eric Burton 2
Dajon Weeks 2
Eugene Demax 1
Jake Baskinger 1
Carson Scott 1
Andreas Allen 1

The highest team rating for the Daytona 500 was Mace Enterprises with a 97% Rating, every driver led atleast 1 lap, leading 71 laps and with all of them finishing on the lead lap.

18 drivers currently have 100% lap completion, only 18 finished on the lead lap.

32 drivers finished the 500 without a DNF, that's over 2 times more drivers left racing in the Daytona 500 than last year when only 15 drivers finished last year's 500.

More drivers finished on the lead lap in this years Daytona 500 than how many drivers we had left even on the race track in last year's Daytona 500.

We have nearly 2 times more drivers that led in the Daytona 500 this year, than last year.
2016: 8 drivers led
2017: 15 drivers led

Martin Motorsports blew up 2 of their race cars during the race, while 2 of their other race cars went on to finish inside the Top 10.

Andreas Allen was parked for being too slow in the Daytona 500 after going slower than 20+mph slower than the lead lap cars. He finished 33rd out of the race.

Jesse Turner came runner up for the Daytona 500 for the 2nd time in his career.

Dom Caps finished 4th in the Daytona 500, it was his first Top 5 finish since 2015 at Mosport for Round 8 driving for Monster Energy Racing's #3 Lexus when he finished 5th that day.
I'll fill you in with a couple more Smile

- Jeff James was the only starter inside the top-10 (pole) that finished there too (8th).
- Beka Haddix and Ryan Griffin finished 35th and 41st respectively in their first SCS starts.
