Have you heard of this bug?
Lap 512 Glitch in NR03
While running the N800 (534 laps), I ran into this bug.
When running long races, they cannot go over 512 laps. The drivers will continue running on track, but no laps are scored, and if you can't count laps it is best to call a "competition caution" by calling the race at this point and creating a new race.
I have an explanation as to why this occurs, and it is because 512 is a perfect power of 2. Most or all computer programs are run based on powers of 2, and it is possible that the NR03 coders used 512 as a maximum value in their code.

Do share, because I've never heard of this happening before, though I would assume there is some hidden value that attributes to the amount to miles that can be run at a given time.

I knew about it when I tried to run the American 700 at SUAR speedway. 512 is the code for the maximum number of laps that timing will allow!
