Chris Dodd
Age: 25
Yrs of PWCOM experience: 6
Nationality: Puerto Rico
Wins: 8
Championships: 1, 2015
Backstory: Chris Dodd's childhood history is relatively unknown. He was born in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, and is the oldest of 2 children that his parents had. One of the big things that Dodd has told is how he was homeschooled. His Parents taught him how to speak English, Spanish, and some Hebrew at a very young age. He is single, and is waiting "For the one that God has for him". He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, however during the Offseason he visits his friends and family in Melbourne, Florida.

From the time he was 6 years old he loved watching race cars. But while his love for speed was prominent early on in his life, he didn't actually get his first chance at racing until he was 13 years old... But boy, once he got started, there was no stopping him. From Go-Karts to Quarter-Midgets, and everything in between, he was winning left and right. He loved working on his own cars, and was respected by many in garages across the Country for his hard he worked. By the time he was 17, he was a Champion in 4 different racing series, and was well known throughout the Eastern USA, as well as in Latin America.

In 2010, he made his PWCOM debut at the Patriot 800, and boy what a debut it was, with Dodd running inside the Top 10 all day long before a loose lugnut on his final pitstop derailed him and his team. But because of that race, several teams offered him a ride, and in 2011, he started his Rookie Campaign, where he racked up 3 Top 5's and 7 Top 10's, including a 4th place finish in the Patriot 800. His 2012 season was a bit of a difficult stretch, with 3 blown engines in the first 4 races, and a flat tire late in the going that cost him a shot at the 2012 Patriot 800.

But then came 2013-2015, where Chris Dodd would really come on the scene. He won his first race in Mexico, to the delight of the Latino fans, and a near win at the Season Finale at Yas Marina that put him in a great position for 2014... And that he did, when he came to the 2014 Patriot 800 and ran up front all race long, and with 4 laps to go, took the lead and went on to win the race! He also would end up winning at Belguim and the Season Finale at Yas Marina, finishing 2nd in the Points behind the 2014 Champion Erzhan Zhumabekov.

But in 2015 was the Season of Chris Dodd, where he racked up 4 wins including in Mexico, Brazil, and the Season Finale at Yas Marina in dominating fashion, and bringing home a Championship to his homeland of Puerto Rico, and showing that he is truly one of the best in the PWCOM.

2016 was a bit of a letdown for Dodd, where he only won one race(in Japan), and finished 10th in Points. It didn't help that the team he was on had major management reshuffling...

But now comes 2017, with Dodd refocused and ready to go after another Championship. But he has an even bigger goal in mind: To win the Patriot 800 and the PWCOM Championship in the same season, something that has only been done once in history. Can he accomplish that feat, or will his bad luck of 2016 continue?
