American 700 XIII
Changes for the 13th running of the American 700
Due in part to the change in schedule. The American 700 will be run 6 weeks after the season opening race at Road Atlanta. This is expected to have a profound impact on the number of entries this season. Added to that, all full time cars will be given an automatic grid spot in this season's American 700. So that leaves whatever one off drivers we have, attempting to grab 6 spots on the grid.
One offs will be determined by single lap runs. So each one off car has ONE LAP to show that they are fast enough to make the 13th running of the American 700. After the one lap, single car runs for one off's, the field of 42 cars will then participate in a 42 car, 20 minute qualifying session to determine the starting grid. The American 700 is the only race in the season to award points for starting on pole as well. The pole sitter will get 10 bonus points for the American 700 pole. So it is incredibly important to qualify well at the race.
We are now taking one off cars... so please enter as many as you can paint or get people to paint.
Due date is December 20th

28- Tanet Aromdee

Javele McGee to Attempt the A700 XIII!
In what seems to be becoming a seasonal tradition at this point, CJ Racing has announced that Javele McGee will be making yet another return to the A700, driving the #111 NBA On TNT/Shaqtin' A Fool Chevy. This will be McGee's 4th attempt at the A700, and he is hoping to once again shock the ARCSOA world by qualifying his way in, as he has done 2 times.

Johann Arndt (Put Yohann Arndt in the game, Kenny) looks to start in the A700 again
PWCOM driver Johann Arndt who made a start in the A700 last season looks to try at it again. He almost had a spot in the AES this season, but stepped aside for a different driver, allowing him to run full time in PWCOM again.

The other crazy Frenchman, Thiery Whetteneaux intends to race for the A700
Whetteneaux, a young, crazy, ecstatic road ringer ironically will not race on a road course, but an oval.
This Frenchman who is very very aggressive, crazy, and lighthearted has been wanting to join this series for a long while and may get his chance here.
People think he is crazy, funny, slightly hot-headed but overall, a good racer.
He will drive the #67 Spie Renault for an attempt to race his way into The American 700, and maybe to a career. He is 22.

Re: American 700 XIII
The well known OdePyS 167 will return to the American 700 with its same legendary paint scheme that nearly got Beka Moss her first top 5 in her first start. And the person who will drive it will be none other than Ćićoria Šatska, the Croatian racing phenom who drove their car last year. As Šatska could not find a ride on the main grid, he hopes a second run in the 700 will boost his chances of finding a spot next year, as Moss won't return for the planned Moss child.
The other OdePyS car will be taken by Jake Moss, Beka's husband and also having raced alongside her in the lower levels in Kentucky. He is also the same age as Beka, 21, and the number is 53.

Tylor Thaber, after leaving the series with no explanation after the Round of SSNJ, will be returning into two self owned Dodge Darts, the #900 of himself and the #901 of Mark Alplilecapal. Provided he makes the show, this will be Thaber's final start.

Sean Perkins announces his final American 700 start
Three-Time American 700 champion Sean Perkins announces his retirement following this seasons American 700. The 42 year-old Northwest Ohio native has made attempts for every American 700. However, after 13 years of and three wins in the American 700. Perkins will compete no more in this legendary event.
Many drivers and scholars of the series have wonder what impact Perkins will have on the series. In his one full time campaign, Perkins didn't do a whole lot. However, Perkins was absolutely stellar in the American 700, and in endurance racing in general.

Nuteson To Make Attempt At American 700 With Aroldis Dunbar
Aroldis Dunbar, Chase's father and a racing legend in his own, plans to take his famed Formula Alpha team Spoder Sport International, based in Decatur, Michigan, to the ARCSOA Elite Series.
Aroldis Dunbar sees great talent in 19-year-old Daniel Nuteson, a hotshot out of Chicago, Illinois, who has participated in several series, including Formula Alpha, and is Chase Dunbar's training partner. Aroldis' #49 Camaro, intended for Daniel Nuteson, is sponsored by ICEE and Addictive Fidget Spinners and will make an attempt at the American 700.
BTW, it's pronounced "noot-sin"

Reddit-Davis Racing sets up a partnership with Johann Arndt:
Johann, who is preparing for the upcoming season for Vipertech has been tapped to drive a 4th Reddit-Davis Racing Volkswagen entry #08. Johann is taking his second attempt at going for the American 700.
Davis: We're riding high after our win. We know that we may not have the most power for this race, but we hope to further develop our cars for next season. We have Freeze and Monaco who have been with us since day 1 and they have been instrumental in the development of our team. Adding in Rehall has helped with his veteran insight. Then when the Volkswagen Auto Group came to us and asked if we wanted a driver for the American 700 who could help out, we jumped on the probability straight away. We were hoping for top Audi driver, Audra Baranauskas, but she already has a ride for the A700. So we went Young Gun Johann Arndt to drive the #08 Reddit Volkswagen. Hopefully he can allow us to further pursue our plans to become one of the top teams in the AES.

Re: American 700 XIII
The 24th American 700 will be like no other according to tire tests
The majority of one off teams, as well as full time teams have brought their cars to the Auto Club Speedway while their main drivers participate in the Brazilian round of the ARCSOA Elite Series championship.
However, teams were allowed to bring one test driver to the Auto Club Speedway to participate with some of the one off cars to get a feel for the new racing circumstances.
D&C co-owner Greg Caraway stated, "This season's American 700 will be more reliant on tires and handling. We aren't going to see that pack racing we've seen in the past. Which is good, because when a car breaks out from that pack, they are almost untouchable. Now the cars are far more touchy to setups. As cars are more spread out and less reliant on the draft, I actually think we will end up with more cars on the lead lap by the end of the race."

Vincent Allen to pilot #44 entry for Silverspeed
In a surprise turn of events, Silverspeed has announced they are bringing a 4th car to the American 700 for Vincent Allen. Allen was supposed to pilot the #202 Audi developmental car. However, those plans fell through at the last moment. Silverspeed who has been looking to possibly reignite the #84 team, could be looking at Allen for the possibility of filling that seat beyond the American 700.
Reports are that Beka Moss will need to score well in the #84 car in order to keep her ride in the series.
The McBaxter's sponsored #44 car was apparently the car that Nick Pericles nearly won the 12th American 700 with. Allen is probably the favorite out of the 6 one off cars to get on the grid.

Bad weather forces last minute adjustment in qualifying system
Qualifying was due to take part on Thursday, May 24th. However, rampant dust storms forced ARCSOA to cancel all on track activities on the 24th. In order to make accomodations for the ARCSOA Lights Series which will be running on Saturday. ARCSOA has announced that all 18 one off cars will participate in a 15 minute session to eliminate 12 cars. Those 12 cars will participate in the 3rd annual Baxter Consolation Race. The top 6 cars from the 15 minute session, will move on to knockout qualifying.
Pole qualifying will be split into three, 15 minute segments. Segment #1 will eliminate positions 42-28. Segment #2 will eliminate positions 27-14. Segment #3 will be a 14 car dash for pole.
