41. 79 Lafter Stucolé
42. 53 Nathan Hood
A caution free race, only one incident very early on between Lafter Stucolé and Nathan Hood. The finish of the race was made more intense by the pit strategy calls made by various of the people who finished near the front. Gonzalez stretched his final tank of gas more than he had gone on any other run during the race to take the win while consistent late-pitters such as Jake Moss and Sally Hunter were rewarded for their strategy calls with top 10 runs. Others who ran in the top 10 were not as fortunate, like polesitter Christian Merrick Jr., who came home in 28th after incurring a penalty on his penultimate pit stop. Kevin Anderson almost took the lead from Merrick in the early run of the race but faded into obscurity after having a slow pit stop, miring him into a situation in which he incurred a speeding penalty and received damage attempting to serve it, coming home in a dismal 39th.
