2018 - 2018 Round 26: Rockingham Empty 2018 Round 26: Rockingham

Atlanta was a wildcard for a majority of the leaders, as lapped traffic and blown engines proved to be a hinderance, into which it took out many leaders in the process. John Arndt scored his second victory of the season over a mere margin over Eric Demax in a photo finish. TJ Martin got swept up in a wreck, costing him a multitude of points, and that itself gives Jake West a 22 point lead over the son of legendary Luke Martin, TJ. Martin is going to have to hope West stumbles again, as it seems the top 2 always have a case of struggling, whether they wreck or simply just don't have the car to run up front.

The drivers head to the notorious Rockingham speedway, where it cruelty on tire wear is high, and the banking of the track proves to be a challenge. Earlier in the season, we had a few massive wrecks, one of those being Blaze McKinney barrel rolling down the backstretch, ending what would've been a top 5 run. Will Lewis showcased patience and speed, and cruised to a win for Fearsport. Lewis is looking to try and repeat that process again, as the race will be held at night. Afterwards, Homestead only remains. West and Martin are the two guys to look out for in this championship, but if they both suffer in the race, Angel could be on the attack. though time is running out. Rockingham is a tricky track, and to tame it is considered a massive feat.

That 71 crew totally deserves a pat on the back. TJ could've been knocked out but they kept him alive in the race.
