Round 1: UPS 400 @ Kentucky Empty Round 1: UPS 400 @ Kentucky

The CTRS comes to Kentucky to kick off their season. Many people have their favorites, but the leaders in terms of odds are Roman Rehall, Jake Moss, and Austin Swanson. Will they win or will there be a shocking upset winner, like we have seen in the past with Vernio, Mooney, and Wise?

The 3 of Stucole will start on pole over the 72 of S9 winner Alexia Wise.
Lap 1: Stucole leads lap 1, Wise falls in behind.
Lap 6: Deb by Wise for second.
Lap 14: Gonzalez to fifth by Stryger.
Lap 20: Caution is out, the 05 thought she was clear of Austin Swanson, but wasn't and they both go into the wall. Top 10: 3, 78, 90, 72, 58, 32, 27, 80, 53, 24.
Lap 23: After pit stops, the top 10: 3, 78, 32, 27, 80, 23, 30, 90, 20, 69.
Lap 26: Restart, the 32 got a great start but the top 2 didn't. Stucole keeps the lead though.
Lap 36: Deb by the 27 for third.
Lap 37: Caution is back out. Looks like the same thing happened as in the first caution, except this time between Merrick, Millers, and the 26 of McDonald. Top 10: 3, 32, 23, 27, 90, 30, 78, 80, 69, 14.
Lap 42: Stucole didn't get a good start and it will cost her the lead! 32 of Stryger to the front with Šatska to 2nd, Stucole back to third.
Lap 49: Stucole recovers 2nd from the 23.
Lap 65: Deb back up to 5th by Carmichael.
Lap 74: Satska and Moss by Stucole agter a pass for the lead gone wrong.
Lap 93: Pit stop cycles commence with Satska.
Lap 97: After pit stops Šatska holds the lead over Deb and Beka Moss???
Lap 101: Stryger has had an issue and is a lap down now. Top 10 is 23, 78, 65, 14, 3, 69, 2, 80, 30, 27.
Lap 107: Lance Vernio by the 65.
Lap 124: The 65 back by the 14 for 3rd.
Lap 138: Halfway. The 23 continues to hold off Deb, the 14 loses 4th to pole winner Stucole.
Lap 141: Lance Vernio has reported that he has lost the handle on the 14. Sheppard just got past for 5th.
Lap 147: Sheppard takes the lead, he was running 5th, took it 3 wide in Turn 1, passed Moss, went through 3 and got Stucole before the two leaders pitted. Masterful pass there.

Lap 152: The Big One strikes at Kentucky. Millers, being slow, pulled up in front of Lukewalker who came down across the nose of Roman Rehall. Ike Gonzalez, Alexia Wise, and Bul Dalton slam into the melee.
Lap 156: Top 10 after pit cycle: 78, 14, 69, 3, 27, 53, 90, 87, 49, 23.
Lap 159: Three wide for the lead, Jake Moss in the 27 takes it. It's crazy behind, cars going 4 and 5 wide, Hood up to 2nd with Freeze up to 3rd!
Lap 161: Freeze into second.
Lap 167: 100 to go, Carmichael by the 53 for third.
Lap 169: Do my eyes deceive me??? Vince Freeze to the lead!
Lap 171: Satska by the 53 for 4th.
Lap 176: Sheppard by the 53. 53 claims it's the old tires.
Lap 179: Satska by Carmichael for 3rd.
Lap 185: Caution is back out, and it's another huge crash. Phil Montgomery, taking over for Roberts while he sits out his suspension, had no clue Dimundi was on his outside, leading to multiple hard impacts. Eric Monaco, Aidan Shepherd, Jose Stic, Tripontakio Vernio, Eliza Huddleson, Charlie Jackson, Alexia Wise, and Andrew Knight all involved. Roman Rehall also with a piece.
Lap 190: Restart. Freeze maintains his lead over Satska.
Lap 197: Sheppard by Carmichael for second. Just heard that both Montgomery and Dimundi are seriously hurt.
Lap 206: Correction: Louise Johnson was the driver who is hurt, not Montgomery who is in ninth.
Lap 212: Sheppard up to third, he has shown his speed earlier with that three wide pass a while back.
Lap 229: William McDonald up to fifth.
Lap 240: After the final round of pit stops it appears as if Vince Freeze is well on his way to the win. Carmichael is in second with Satska and Montgomery right there.
Lap 250: Montgomery to third. Does he have something to say about Freeze's win?
Lap 254: Montgomery and Satska both blow around Carmichael with some assistance from Jose Stic.
Lap 267: Vince Freeze wins at Kentucky to open up the season, holding off a hard charging Phil Montgomery to get his first career win (that actually counts).
