OOC: Willow Springs is going up as we speak! I would also like to get Dega done tonight as well!

Championship Scenarios:
Christian Van Der Pesch- 311 Points: CVDP did very well in the American 700. Which is one of the reasons why he is in the points battle. He has not done well in the 2nd half of the season. However, Van Der Pesch controls his own destiny here. One thing he may try to do is hang back for the 1st 1/4th of the race then charge up and score as many points as possible at halfway. That way, he can eliminate as many cars as possible at halfway. I have a feeling this may be Van Der Pesch's championship to loose.

Jacob Hart- 294 Points: Hart did what he had to do at Willow Springs by winning. Now Hart is challenging for his 3rd title. For Hart to win the title, he needs to keep Van Der Pesch in check as the race goes on. One way to do this is make sure not to loose touch with him at the halfway mark. Hart needs to keep his eye on CVDP as this race progresses.

Henry Sandfer- 274 Points: Theoretically, Sandfer could remain in points contention after the half way mark if he doesn't score points. However he would have to hope the Van Der Pesch and Hart would do likewise. Sandfer also has the disadvantage of having a car that has been historically unreliable on faster tracks. The PETRONAS team has struggled with the fast tracks this year. However, Sandfer is driving for PETRONAS, which has won the championship the last few years.

Jake Baskinger- 267 Points: Baskinger is in the same boat as Sandfer, except I think Baskinger's experience may help him out here. He really needs to watch Hart and Van Der Pesch as the race goes on. Plus it wouldn't hurt to be up front halfway through the session

Ryan Griffin- 255 Points: Griffin needs to score in the first half of the race. Or else he is out based on straight math. Griffin also needs to make sure he beats Van Der Pesch to halfway at all times as well. It's going to be tough, but Griffin already has one title which he won in dramatic fashion, I think he could do it again. His car is one of the best at high speeds.

D.J. Kurtis- 234 Points: Kurtis needs a lot of help here. But I won't call it completely unrealistic. If Hart and CVDP get swept up in an early race wreck. Kurtis becomes a real threat. He needs to beat both CVDP and Hart. However if both fall out, he also needs to beat Sandfer as well... Kurtis needs to run up front pretty much at both halfway and at the end. If he can do that, the #1 will be his next season.

Aurel Riucu- 228 Points: Riucu needs a miracle. It is within reach, but he will need a lot of luck! A LOT OF LUCK! If I were him, I would plan on dominating the race. The Tanaka cars were fast at Daytona, so we will see how he does at Talladega.

Griffin: "I love coming here. Talladega has some of the best fans and the atmosphere is electric. This is going to be a fun weekend."

championship talk:
Griffin: "No matter what happens this weekend, I can't thank my crew and this #82 team enough. They gave me a chance to come back here and do this again and it's been fun. Yeah, 46 points out is a big margin to overcome especially with how good the #10 and #5 have been. But, 9 years ago, a photo finish gave me my first and so far only AES championship, there's nothing that says it can't happen again."

Kurtis: "The amount of times we've been close has been quite a lot in the Elites, I hope things go well today. If we don't win, we know we tried."

Brock: "Well, we thought we had a shot at winning this race, but after getting held up by lapped traffic, put a lap down, and taken out in a wreck, we ended up finishing 21st. Hopefully, we can turn things around, next season."
