Explorer Motorsports to Bring in Fresh New Talent in 2017

Explorer Motorsports is opening up their first Sony Cup Series team with Nathan Hood and Carli Clifford looking to take the new ride- the 53 Target Chevrolet. Their expectations are low, they don't expect to run well based on luck in other series. For 2018, their plans are unknown, but expect to see Signups for the ride mid 2017.

No, we will be holding a private test at Daytona with 6 or 7 drivers and the fastest will earn the NNSCRA ride and second will earn your ride. 53 has always been my number until I found the unique #233, which I am putting in NNSCRA, because it is the expansion of my walking constant. 53 is the expansion of my climbing constant as well. Target has been a longtime sponsor for us in NNSCRA and NMGAR.

I never said that the series were canon. I just stated the facts or our former sponsorship. If they are open to sponsor us in Silly Season we'll take em. The car stats and private test are not any problem tho with canon?

Young drives for my team and the sponsor is already set. I can assure you it isn't Target.

Explorer Motorsports will be bringing in Beka Haddix for the 2017 Sony Cup Series. Their NNSCRA driver was also revealed as Jon Bunnell will take the 233.

SCS if you go to a 2 car team.

A 2 car team may happen but the second would be a part timer or one race deal.

To be honest, I expected it to become a team for the HNS. By then, after a couple of seasons, it would determine whether it would be capable of becoming a SCS team or not. Having it become an SCS team seems a bit rushed.

Yeah, I'd prefer if you came up through the HNS series first. You're not going to be very quick at all in Cup first time going. It'll be tough to just make the rounds for start up teams that don't even come up through the National series. Plus I'd rather you be just a one car team if you do decide to do Cup. Don't feel bad if you DNQ because it's bound to happen if you just straight into Cup with a start up team.

Look at Titanium Motorsports for example bud, if there was a really good definition of shit and DNQ it would be Titanium. I was stupid enough to go to a two car team at that.

I mean, the #3 has been making a good amount of races. But the #4 is like what people drop in the toilet. Shit. For 2015 Rick Shultz was a great driver, almost winning once, and was one of the best breakout stars. Doing well for a team that was doing poor, he started to turn the team around if you ask me. Then in 2016 Monster Energy Racing shut down and we took him, and our team has basically screwed him over because we were stupid enough to go right into two cars.

You guys need to stop encouraging this. Everything will be settled in August. As well Nathen NNSCRA doesn't exist on this forum. SCS is in its own little world. I understand what you were doing, but we don't need to know about your NNSCRA plans. Just what you're doing for SCS. Even then we don't need to hear any of this till August.

I understand that and considering doing a buildup this season with a team in cup and one in HNS. Plus the announcement with the NNSCRA driver was needed because the results of my private test could also determine a part time or HNS driver, as that would be the same as the other series driver.
