Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
I really like the #3 paint scheme. It's quite simple but does its job as a badass paint scheme. The font you chose for the #3 is sexy... I mean, what font is it? I'm curious.CJ Racing wrote:Let me know what ya'll think of it

Very big render. But aside from that the car solid. I've always been a fan of that specific design for Best Buy. But IMO those yellow rims make the car so much better. Idk why though, it just gives it that umph it needs to be pushed to a higher ranking in my books.MrKyleCollins wrote:

Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
Here's my thoughts. I'm a detail type of guy. I love details in a design. Collins you have really grown in that category. Only thing your not on my list so you don't who gets what sponsors and stuff. Nothing wrong with this ride but just as a heads up.
CJ it's a good start. I see potential in it, but it's not quite there. It's close to be a good design but just falls short. Also there are some places where it is just empty. Its hard for me to explain here, but I'll pm you later.

Thanks! It is the Venturini Number Set, I'm pretty sure I downloaded it from Nnracing.com(but I've downloaded so much stuff lately I may be wrong LOL)

Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
Sponsors were interesting. Because I know the primary sponsors for each paint scheme. But for areas like the post seperating the two windows on the side of the car and the area after the number and before the rear tires I didn't know what sponsors to put. So I just decided to "wing it" and put mainly the sponsors you used on the BFM cars for 2016. The only one that you didn't use if I recall correctly is K&N. So I didn't know whether you'd change up those sponsors for 2017.Mr.YAMP wrote:Here's my thoughts. I'm a detail type of guy. I love details in a design. Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
How are things going with the painting? Checking in and reminding painters that January 1st of 2017 is the date I NEED the cars. Atleast all of the primary/DAYTONA 500 cars. Secondary schemes for all are due by February 1st 2017 but if I can get them earlier I would appreciate it. Just wanted to see how the progress is... Can't wait for the 2017 season. Thanks so much guys for the help of making cars. You make memories beyond memories with this series just by painting cars. Every race has a storyline to it and the races add up into something great. The Sony Cup Series has a great storyline starting from Season 1 to now and you guys are helping add to the storylines and making the series what it is with these Sony Cup Series cars you've put out for the 3rd year now. I appreciate it and I'm glad to have you guys. Love doing this as a hobby and love making the series as if its an actual racing series. I really get into it and I'm glad you guys do too with the cars you paint.
Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
Copy that. I'm not worrying about getting my BFM cars done just yet. I'll start getting them done in November. My main priority this month is running so that's why.FUEL wrote:How are things going with the painting? Checking in and reminding painters that January 1st of 2017 is the date I NEED the cars. Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
Damn, I'm back at it again with the Perkins paint scheme:
Can I just say, thanks Kenny for picking out a sponsor that I had the hardest time coming up with a scheme idea for. But I think it turned out amazing, the colours went well with the design. This is one I hope to see on track in 2017, I think it'll look cool on track.

Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
Not digging it. 2 reasons. The scheme doesn't match the sponsor. The colors do, but not the feel. 2nd the Perkins logos on the side need outlines.

I know about the outlines thing, and I'll get around to that eventually. But idk what colour to use for the outlines.pMr.YAMP wrote:Not digging it. 2 reasons. The scheme doesn't match the sponsor. The colors do, but not the feel. 2nd the Perkins logos on the side need outlines.

I give props for the creativity made in this scheme, I agree with YAMP on outlines though. The Siemens logo should be outlined white, as well as the Perkins logo (maybe), it'll look much cleaner.
Re: 2017 Sony Cup Series Schemes
I love criticism and compliments. Both rly help me. And I agree, I will be adding outlines to both logos, I just needed suggestions on what colours to use so I'll give White a whirl and see how it turns out.DKurtis wrote:MrKyleCollins wrote:I know about the outlines thing, and I'll get around to that eventually.
