Hayden Kline involved in an accident at Indy did a lot of damage to the Season 4 Champion. After being in the hospital for a little over a month Kline began his recovery process. Kline has yet to return to the track to discuss with the media but plans to near the end of the year however that hasn't stopped the news from Kline about what has been going on with him. Kline under went a lot of injuries to his sight and speech. Kline posted on social media about it that him and his doctor are going through a recovery progress of trying to get him back to normal. From what the drivers have said from visiting him is that Kline has problems talking fully and the problems don't stop there Kline has said his vision isn't where it needs to be. So Hayden Kline the champion of the Sony Cup Series from 16 season ago who started off the year in the Allen Family Racing #44 ride has been having to sit out the rest of the year. So is this stopping Hayden from getting back in the car for next year? If you've been following silly season this year no it hasn't. SUMS Racing has signed him on for next year when he's ready to go. We speculate if he'll be healthy enough to race by the time DAYTONA rolls around but SUMS Racing has not said any word on their driver in Hayden isn't ready to go. Hayden says his vision can be worked on and all this will sort itself out before 2016 is over. We can only hope so. We still think good thoughts for our old timer of the series.

Roush: I respect Hayden so very much. He was one of the first people in the SCS garage I met as a 10 year old during Season 4. I have always respected him and he also was one of the first in the SCS garage I met this season when I would compete in HNS. I really really hope I get a chance to race against him and not only do that but see him have a full recovery. Praying his recovery.

Jeremy Stroker: We understand the Kline is in complete recovery, and if he doesn't feel confident getting back in the car as soon as the Daytona 500, we are fine hiring a backup driver. Kline's Recovery is at the forefront, and we do not want to re-open wounds that are still healing.

Bishop Jr: I'll stand by my word, as a kid who cheered for Kline in the day I'd love to see him return. But, even if he can race, the Daytona 500 is something he should consider skipping depending on how much he's recovered. Because crashes at Daytona can be crazy as hell and if he gets in one it could lead to a worse injury. But that depends how long he's been cleared for and all that jazz.
