Round 4 of Darlington
After a few weeks off, HNS returns to the track. It'll come out tomorrow at 6pm with, unusual scheduling to the race but since Darlington really wanted a night race and after rain moving in Saturday and today, it's just not been in the best convience for the series. However Tuesday looks good for the series to finally get the race underway tomorrow night.
Re: Round 4 of Darlington
More rain is moving in... Looks like this rain storm is going to settle in for a good few hours. Doesn't look like it's going to stop until 6 race time. We are hopeful we will still get the race up tonight.

I hope so

Finguy: "It's going to be a track with no rubber on the surface. At least after what happened at Vegas, I'm actually not going to spectate this race... Both Crash and Daleo know what to do, it's a slump but I know we'll get a win soon..."

Re: Round 4 of Darlington
In the garage after wrecking out
This stings, a lot. We started 3rd and actually had a semi-fast car. We fought our way to pass second place, but right after we made the pass, we dropped like a rock. Perhaps I tore up the tires too early, but apparently, that wasn't the case as, after our first pit stop, we continued to fall like a rock back to where we were in the first 3 races. But the luck just doesn't end there, we get flat our dumped by our very own teammate, Jonny Garder racing for position. Completely destroyed our car regulating us to a 40th place finish.
This ticks me off. In the first 3 races, the car had no speed, at all. Then when we finally find something in the car, it decides to go back to where it was then we get dumped by our own teammate. All I know is that Jonny better watch his back.

Davidson: 35th, Couldn't get out of the way due to being side by side with the 16 and I Didn't see him in time, major loss in the points and our championship hopes. We had a very fast race car and we get wrecked out.

Rowe: Solid run. I believe we could have won, if there were about 10 more laps in the race.

Chris Dodd Furious After Darlington, Arndt-Gardner Incident
After a wild and crazy Darlington weekend, which after several rain delays nearly became the Darlington week, with tempers already heated after the SCS race, it wasn't a surprise to see some drivers upset after the HNS race. However, the driver most upset about the HNS race may surprise many: CM Racing's Owner/Driver Chris Dodd, who came on the Marty McGee Radio Show shortly after the race to discuss his race and the drama that unfolded on the track between his teammates.
McGee: "So, I'm just gonna let you talk about the race, cause I know that you have a lot to say, so let's hear it."
Dodd: "Sigh... Let me just get this out of the way; I am usually a pretty calm guy, and someone who doesn't normally get mad about what happens during a race weekend, but I am TICKED off right now.
First off, we get involved in the SCS race in one of those stupid crashes, costing us any chance of a solid finish, and it puts us outside the Top 35 in points. Then, we have to wait for 2 or 3 days because of all this rain to get the HNS race started. Once we finally get the race going, we ran OK, not great but we were alright. All of a sudden, I see this crash, and my spotter nearly killed my radio screaming about how Gardner took out Arndt.
At that point, I was pretty mad, and then to make things worse, when we came down pit road under the caution I felt something go amiss in the engine, and soon after that, it blew up. It ticked me off to the point that I just about broke my helmet on the concrete, and I was about ready to unload on somebody. Fortunately, Mateo(Dodd's PR rep) was there to help me calm down, cause otherwise who knows what would have happened."
McGee: "As I am sure you have already heard, John Arndt had some pretty strong words to Jonny Gardner. What were your thoughts on what Arndt said after the race, particularly about Gardner?"
Dodd: "You know, John has every right to be ticked off at Jonny. I mean the dude finally got a decent qualifying spot, runs up front early, and then for whatever reason his car starts falling back. It's an issue that we need to continue to work on as a team, to find more speed as the race goes along.
But you know, it's one thing to get wrecked by another driver, but when it's your own teammate, someone who you expect to race you hard, but as cleanly as he can, to just go out there and not give you that room and to wreck you, is more than anything something that I cannot tolerate well. These CM Racing guys work way too hard every week preparing these race cars to have this type of stuff happen, and to see all that hard work go down the drain is disappointing and downright frustrating, especially as an Owner."
McGee: "Will there be any repercussions after this incident between Arndt and Gardner?"
Dodd: "Well, I'm sure they'll hear it back at the shop, and they will absolutely be hearing from me about it, but beyond that, it is their choice on how they want to race each other on the track... So long as they don't wreck each other... Because if they dare get into it on the track again, let's just say that it won't go over well."
