Eric Demax's future for the rest of the 2018 season

After Eric Demax's sudden release from Mace Enterprises, many were speculating that it was season over for the young 19-year old. However the team that he has signed up for next season, Rodriguez Racing, has decided to start Demax's contract immediately instead of starting in 2019. Rodriguez believes that "Eric does not deserve to be thrown on the sidelines and that he still deserves a chance to prove everyone wrong once again. He did that at Charlotte. Now it's time for him to do it again."
Due to sponsor negotiations still underway, Eric Demax will be the 4th entry to the Rodriguez Racing staple and will run the #16 Ford which will be unsponsored for the time being.
