Andreas Allen Stepping Down From Racing To Focus On AFRT
10 races into 2017 and Allen Family Racing Team is sitting 28th, 33rd and 35th in points. The team is doing way worse than last year and heavily under expectations with the alliance with FPM going into this year. Andreas Allen, the Season 2 Daytona 500 Champion and 11 time winner of the series released to the press that he will not be driving a car in 2018. He noted that he isn't retiring however he is stepping down to focus on regrouping the team and building it to what it needs to be. Andreas Allen will not drive in 2018 but will instead go full time in owning his team and leaving the driving part up to someone else as he feels the team deserves better than where they are this year and wants to focus on getting them pointed in the right direction.
