Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
ARCSOA Paddock welcomed back to Mosport with open arms after years away.
After 11 years away from the 2.45 mile Road Course in Ontario, ARCSOA returns to its traditional Canadian home of Mosport. Mosport was always known as a high attrition race back in the early days of the series. Considering that there aren't a ton of drivers in ARCSOA that have raced on this track, that could be a continuing statistic here at Mosport.
However, Kenny Myatt, one of the few that have raced here in the past, made a glowing review of the facility. "This track requires a driver to showcase their skills at a high level consistently. We don't have enough of those tracks on the current ARCSOA schedule. This track separates the men and women, from the boys and girls. I can't wait to get back out there and duel with the current paddock at one of our original facilities."

Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
Noah Hart: "This track requires so much grip. Hitting your marks around this track is so key. There are some very slow parts of the track but don't let that fool you because this track demands having a car that can sweep around these corners. This race is won by some of the best engineers and car chiefs in the business in this garage area that can fine tune a race car so perfect to balance out, speed and handling but the winner will come from a true race car driver.
I can't ever recall a race where a "nobody" lucked into a win at this race track. You had to drive your butt off for one of these wins in Canada. The winner and team who wins this race will have truly earned it. I hope that's us. Me and Kenny have never won here so it'd be an honor to finally tackle the great Canadian Tire Raceway Park, a track that has eluded us for many years.

James Shelly flown in to pilot Red Bull #84 car
After the termination of Beka Moss from car #84, Silverspeed has hired James Shelly for the foreseeable future to pilot car #84. Shelly has been racing in EuroCar for Squadra Pilotelli. Shelly brings his main sponsor, Red Bull over from EuroCar as well.
Shelly, known for his victory in the American 700 a number of seasons ago, should be a massive upgrade from Beka Moss. When Shelly arrived at Mosport, the other competitors gave him a standing ovation. The question remains, was that ovation for Shelly, or was it for the fact that Moss is gone?

Finguy: The 84... Red Bull...? ...Is Silverspeed trying to replicate the Red Bull team of old? Hahaha! Good luck with that, you're not a Toyota team... Happy to see Shelly back on the grid... Hope his experiences in EuroCar does him well...

Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
- Spoiler:
- GLM scored big in Canada with a 2nd-3rd showing; Griffin has a post-race "discussion" with Dunbar
Great Lakes Motorsports, the first year team started by former AES champion Ryan Griffin, had been having a lackluster 1st season until today.
Using a bit of pit strategy, the 1st year AES team managed to get both their cars on the podium with Kyle Basaglia 2nd and Griffin coming home 3rd.
However, it wasn't all clean. On the last lap, it was Griffin ahead of Basaglia but the lapped car of Chase Dunbar, who had been an issue to race winner Kenny Myatt for much of the day, held up Griffin enough for Basaglia to take the spot.
On pit road after the race, Griffin was seen with his head leaned inside the #22 and it appears he was discussing something with Dunbar.
Griffin was later asked by reporters about the "discussion" on pit road.
"Well he quite frankly almost cost us a shot at a podium finish and from what I understand almost cost Kenny [Myatt] the race win. He's got to learn that you can't block and race that aggressively when you are in that position. He had nothing to gain from it. I just wanted to make sure he understood that."
Griffin also was visibly ecstatic about this team's performance and gave his thoughts on that as well.
"These guys has worked their [expletive]s off! They deserves this as much as Kyle [Basaglia] and myself do. Even from qualifying, we just unloaded good and the cars worked really well here. I'm hoping we can carry some momentum from this into the next race and maybe get a GLM 1-2 before the year is out."

Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
- Spoiler:
- Kyle Basaglia, "AMAZING RACE, this was our best race all season long, and I couldn't be happier! Near the end I watched Rehall begin to close, and I told Griffin to pass me. He was so much faster then me, so that if Rehall caught, Griffin had a better chance of keeping us on the podium then I do. Nonetheless, he ended up getting massively held up by Dunbar, and I took the position back for a beautiful P2, and with Griffin getting P3, we did amazing! GLM has treated me so well since I joined in, much better then Xios ever did, and the team deserves it so much! Let's hope we can keep this momentum going into future races, and if we can get some major points in the late season!"

Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
- Spoiler:
- Myatt: "The monkey is off my back, now it's time to shine"
After his first ever win at Mosport-Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, Kenny Myatt's excitement couldn't be contained.
"The monkey is off my back, now it's time to shine. I had a bit of trouble there with the #22 car. Had the #51 and #11 been on a decent pit strategy, they both would have had me. But I knew they had to pit again. So, I knew I was racing the GLM's. By the end of the race, I was gaining a bit of time on them. The team has given me great cars, I just haven't performed at the same level as the cars. I am so excited. This track has eluded me my entire career. So winning here is quite special to me."
Myatt and the rest of the ARCSOA paddock now heads off to New Hampshire, a track which Myatt has won at in the past.

Kurtis: "We just faded as the run winded down, we were good for a couple of laps but just lost some long run speed. At least we got points so I'm satisfied enough."
Re: Round 13 of Canada @ Mosport
Freeze: Proud of th comeback by my 05 guys from the 30s in the early laps to a 17th place. Glad Rehall did well as the lead RDR car for the week. Looking forward to New Hampshire.
