2018 Season Finale: Homestead
Rockingham proved to be a massive wild card in the race, as Jake West got swept up in a late race wreck, relegating him down to a 32nd place finish. For TJ Martin, he had his fair share of issues, but recovered to finish an astounding 11th. Sean Angel, on the other hand, had no issues and would have a sensational 4th place finish, a run that he needed to put himself in position for a championship run. Sean Harple ended up being the winner of the event after a late race charge that put him in the right position to win.
It all comes down to this, three contenders have a shot at obtaining their first ever Hardee's National Series championship, and each with a story to tell. Jake West and TJ Martin come into the race tied in the points, while Angel is a mere 5 points back, meaning that if both stumble, then Angel could potentially steal one away from what has been the two most discussed drivers of the series. Sean Angel has been consistent throughout the 2nd stint of the season, and has showcased the raw talent and perseverance to showcase such an opportunity. Despite only one victory, Angel has the better average finish than both Martin and West. West and Martin have scrambled for the points lead, and every time one of them had an issue, the other would do well, and vice versa.
Jake West is looking to try and get Kurtis Racing their 2nd championship, and for the 2nd consecutive year. TJ Martin is looking to try and do something his father Luke couldn't: win a championship, while Sean Angel is trying to be a massive upset and steal it away, giving Rodriguez Racing their first championship and to become the first team to win the championship in their debut (excluding the inaugural season with FUEL Brothers Racing).
All 3 have one purpose, and that purpose is to win the championship.

Re: 2018 Season Finale: Homestead
Harple on Pole, championship contenders scattered all over qualifying
The Rockingham winner obtained the pole at Homestead, as he looks to try and give Mace Enterprises a proper sendoff in terms of their HNS program. Sean Angel will start in the 7th position, an amazing Q run compared to the likes of Martin and West, who would qualify 14th and 21st, respectively. A Q run may showcase their speed early on, but it's a matter of how fast their race pace may be. With the track possessing multiple grooves, it's going to be quite a show for the fans to witness for what could be an exciting finale.
