Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
B. Scott to RPM
Most of y'all probably know this by now but Richard Petty Motorsports has officially announced Brian Scott as the new driver of the #9. I've got one thing to say about that... Should've been Ragan.
New Sponsor Announced...
It's been announced that since Sprint won't be sponsoring the tier 1 stock car series for NASCAR they've signed a 6-year contract with Pinty's. So the series will be be called the NASCAR Pinty's Cup Series... That doesn't have the best ring to it.

Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
I just looked it up. It is only for the Canadian series. Cup is still looking for a name after the 2016 season. Thankfully you still got me.

Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
Thank god... I thought it was only the Sprint Cup series that was looking for a new sponsor hence why I assumed it was them. Should've done more research.MrKyleBusch1 wrote:I just looked it up. Also! Chris Buescher will officially be running the 2016 season for Front Row Motorsports. Not sure which car though! I will assume he replaced Cole Whitt because Whitt was probably the worst on the team.

Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
Statistically, Whitt was actually the best FRM driver in 2015. Also, Buescher will run the 34, per Nascar.com.
(This is mainly comparing Whitt and Gilliland, considering a rotation of drivers ran the 34.)

I think Gilliland will return to the Cup Series Full-Time

Clint Bowyer will be driving the 15 instead of the 51 next year(for continuity).

Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
Supposedly Landon Cassill will take over the second FRM car, with Whitt returning to BK. Circle Sport/Hillman is no more, and Falk is taking his equipment to LFR. Hillman is apparently working with Premium now.
Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
Okay, so not much is really happening. Well, from my stand-point at least.
But, Matt DiBenedetto will be returning to BK Racing to drive the #83 and Erik Jones should be racing parttime for Joe Gibbs Racing!

Landon does deserve that FRM car. He's worked his ass off to earn a ride like that!Rykia wrote:Supposedly Landon Cassill will take over the second FRM car, with Whitt returning to BK. Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
cassill is one of the most underrated drivers in the sport. glad to see him get a better ride
Re: 2016 Sprint Cup Series Silly Season
It's been 100% confirmed, Landon Cassill will be replacing David Gilliland in the #38.
Quite dissapointing to see Gilliland go as he's done some great things for Front Row. But, I guess he's kind of losing his touch and it's time for a fresher face and much better/underrated driver to step into the ride.
