Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Day One, Track One: Indianapolis Raceway Park(IRP)
Ryan Smith, Writer for AES Racing Daily and Co-Host of "The Marty McGee Show" on SiriusXM Radio:
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! It's Ryan Smith here, coming to you live from Indianapolis Raceway Park, where we at SiriusXM will be bringing you the first Track on the "CJ Racing Training Camp Tour." After weeks of preparation, drivers singing up, and tracks being chosen, it is almost time to begin what should be a truly action packed series of races to decide which 3 drivers will be chosen to run in either the ARCSOA Lights Series for CJ Racing, or the ARCSOA Europe Series for Levin-Friedmann Motorsports!"
Smith: "One of the big storylines into this series of races of course has to be the favorite, Zachary Fitzwater Sr. from Australia. He is a seasoned ARCSOA Elite Series veteran, however he unfortunately was not able to find a ride in the AES for next season. Many are expecting him to run away with the top spot, but because of the fact that all these cars are set-up exactly the same, it'll take more than speed to be the top racer."
Smith: "With 10 different drivers, coming from 6 different Nationalities, and with Ages going from 15 to 25, one thing is for sure: It's going to be a wild, crazy, and most of all exciting series of races, and it all starts right here at IRP!"
Expect the results of this Testing/Practice Session out in the next couple of days...

Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Round One, Track One: Indianapolis Raceway Park, All Sessions Complete!
1: Z Fitzwater Sr.- 21.623/21.985/21.633
2: R McGee- 21.641/21.627/21.642
3: J Porkins- 21.637/21.674/21.679
4: M Paganello- 21.642/21.691/21.763
5: B Gurion- 21.650/21.673/21.707
6: E Hartnett- 21.742/21.662/21.702
7: M McIntire- 21.689/21.687/21.767
8: L Stucolé- 21.852/21.702/21.704
9: D Scott- 21.729/21.726/21.789
10: T Vernio- 21.737/DID NOT RUN REMAINING SESSIONS BECAUSE OF INJURIES SUSTAINED IN ATLANTA
Quick Notes After Session 1: It's not too much of a surprise to see Fitzwater on the top of the board so far, but considering the fact that the top 9 are only separated by less than a tenth-and-a-half, it's still pretty much anyone's shot at being the fast car by the end of these sessions. Stucolé seemed to be a little bit off in that first session, but the good news is that he still has 2 more sessions to pick up the pace!
Quick Notes After Session 2: Well, this Session was quite a bit more interesting. For the most part, the drivers who had issues in the first session found some additional speed in the 2nd session, while the guys who were fast in session 1 lost some time in session 2. But the big surprise had to be the rather poor showing of Zachary Fitzwater Sr. in this 2nd session. I am not sure if he was trying something different in this session, or if he was comfortable with his run in session 1, cause not only did he run by far the slowest lap so far, but he also came down pit road twice. We'll see how he runs in the final session, especially considering how everyone is pretty much within a tenth of one another...
Also, while Stucolé was able to run a better lap in session 2, he also became the first driver to hit the wall. He's definitely trying his hardest to pick up his pace, that's for sure!
Quick Notes After Session 3: Well, as they say in the racing world, "The Mind is willing, but the (car)body is weak." After a hectic first 2 sessions, it seems that between the drivers being somewhat tired after the first 2 sessions, and the cars probably not being at 100% at this point, unfortunatly no one picked up on their lap time in this final session. At the end of the day though, Fitzwater will pick up the Overall Victory after Round 1, however with all of the drivers running a fast lap within just over a tenth of one another, it's going to be a VERY close battle throughout these series of races!

Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Update: Tripontakio Vernio will not be able to run the other 2 practices due to injuries sustained in a crash in the 800-miler at Atlanta. He has minor injuries to the legs as a result of the violent impact, where Vernio hit the wall at over 200 mph on the drivers side. Hopes to be back by the first race.

Really? I wish you wouldn't have done that(especially since how can he be at IRP and Atlanta at the same time???), but whatever...

Dodd: "Before I let the news boys take over, I want to give a big congrats to each of our 10 drivers for making it through Round 1(although I am sorry to hear about Vernio's injury at Atlanta, I hope that he will be better in time for Race 1). It was an exciting show of speed at this fantastic short track, and I hope we can continue to see the close battles like we saw throughout the day. A big congrats to Zachary Fitzwater Sr. for being the fastest driver around in this First Round!"
Dodd: "But now comes a little bit of a surprise twist... When we decided to do this "Training Camp", I immediately starting thinking of ways to not only give the fastest guys a bonus at the end of each race, but to also give a surprise bonus to a driver..."
Dodd: "This Round's Surprise bonus was: THE MOST CONSISTENT DRIVER! And after talking with the CJ Racing scouts, the winner of the "Surprise Bonus" is..."
Dodd: "MARTY MCGEE! Congrats to Marty, he will get an additional 3 Bonus Points to his points total!"
Dodd: "And with that, I bid everyone a great day, and we'll see you in the next round at Auto Club!"
-------------------------------
Ryan Smith: "And with that ladies and gentlemen will end the First Round of the Inaugural "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" It was truly an exciting battle throughout, and with the gap between 1st to 10th being just over a tenth of a second, it is without still question anyone's guess on who will be on top at the end of this. And while it wasn't a surprise to see Zachary Fitzwater Sr. be the fastest driver in Round 1, the fact that the top 5 cars where within 3/100ths of a second just goes to show how close these cars really are, and that it will be a matter of just how aggressive one will be willing to be to get that extra hundredth of a second!"
Smith: "And now we move on to Auto Club, where the drivers will have their first real chance to race side-by-side with one another. We could really see some wild action in this race, and as we saw here at IRP with how close the cars are, anyone can win this race. However, the odds are still with guys like Fitzwater and McGee, considering they have run there before in the ARCSOA Elite Series. One thing is for sure, the excitement sure is building up!"
Smith: "But until then, as CJ Racing's motto says:
"Always remember... WATCH OUT FOR THE ORANGE CONE!!"
Expect the Practice/Qualifying/Happy Hour results for Auto Club up sometime between Monday-Tuesday, and the Race Results sometime Tuesday-Wednesday!

Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Day Three, Track 2: Auto Club Motor Speedway
Ryan Smith: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, coming to you live on SiriusXM from the Beautiful Auto Club Motor Speedway to bring you the Second Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" We're here after an exciting First Round, where Australian Native Zachary Fitzwater Sr was able to set down the fastest flying lap to win the overall top spot after Round One. However, because of Marty McGee's consistent performance throughout the Rounds, combined with his 2nd place overall finish, has put him up tied with Fitzwater as the top overall Points Leader."
Smith: "Before we get to the Action though, a couple of storylines. First, there has been a slight change to the way the bonus points are given out. Originally, it was going to be the fastest 3 times during the race, but that has now been changed to the fastest driver in Practice, Qualifying, and Happy Hour. Each of these Session winners will get 3 bonus points, which could really come in handy, especially at the end of this series!"
Smith: "Another big storyline is Greece's Tripontakio Vernio making his return after being injured in a separate series in-between the Practice Rounds at IRP. The doctors have cleared him to run this race, but with the caution that any future wrecks, in this "Camp" or elsewhere, will cause him to forfeit his ability to be able to continue racing in the Tour."
Smith: "Auto Club is expected by many to be the Wildcard event in this Series, considering how much the draft works here. The setup that these cars have is expected to cause them to slide around quite a bit, and with the outside groove not expected to have very much grip, it may all come down to who will be there in front at the end... One thing is for sure, it will be VERY exciting to watch."
Finishing Results/Standings Will Come Out Tomorrow(Hopefully...)

Round Two, Track Two, Race One: Auto Club Motor Speedway!
Not sure when the next Round will be run, hopefully sometime in the next couple of days...
- Winner::
- Finishing Results at Auto Club:
13 Laps
1: T Vernio 189.331
2: L Stucole -0.01
3: M McIntire -0.08
4: D Scott -0.11
5: M Paganello -0.18
6: J Porkins -0.23
7: Z Fitzwater Sr. -0.26*(Led the Most Laps)
8: B Gurion -0.57
9: M McGee -0.75
10: E Hartnett -1.09
- Points Standings After Round 2(Auto Club):
Points Standings:
1st: Marty McGee(USA)- 20 Points
2nd: Zachary Fitzwater Sr.(AUS)- 19 Points
3rd: Michael Paganello(GRC)(Already Guarenteed Ride)- 17 Points
4th: Tripontakio Vernio(GRC)- 16 Points
T-5th: Jek Porkins(FO)- 15 Points
T-5th: Lafter Stucolé(ESP)- 15 Points
7th: Matt McIntire(USA)- 14 Points
8th: Deon Scott(RUS)- 10 Points
T-9th: Ben Gurion(ISR)- 9 Points
T-9th: Emmanuel Hartnett(USA)- 9 Points
- Thoughts After Auto Club...:
Chris Dodd: "What a finish! Congrats to all the drivers for driving so hard and yet staying off of each other the whole race. But man, what an incredible job by Tripontakio Vernio for cutting his way up through the field to win. I know he may be sore after what happened to him, but he drove through the pain to somehow just barely get the victory!"
Dodd: "But now it's time to go International! I hope ya'll in the UK are ready, cause we're coming to Brands Hatch!!"
----------------------------------------------------
Ryan Smith: "And with that Ladies and Gentlemen will end what was an incredible 2nd Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" With 7 different leaders and 9 lead changes, it was truly anyone's race, but Greece's Tripontakio Vernio was able to be at the right place at the right time to come home with the victory."
Smith: "One thing that this race did was really close up the points. Despite Zachary Fitzwater Sr looking to have the best overall handling of the track at times, he just couldn't keep his car up front in the closing stages, which cost him in the end. There are now 6 drivers within 5 points of the new Points Leader, Marty McGee. Despite McGee having a worse finishing position on track than Fitzwater Sr, his 3 bonus points for having the fastest car in Happy Hour has now turned out to be the difference so far. Of course, that pales in comparison to Vernio, who moved up 6 places in the Overall Standings and closed up from being 14 points behind to being only 4 points back."
McGee: "And now we are off to our only International race of this "Camp", the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent, England, home of the BTCC. This race is expected to be where Zachary Fitzwater Sr could really shine, but considering how close the points are right now, this race could be the difference between being considered a contender or a pretender."
Smith: "But until then, as CJ Racing's motto says:
"Always remember... WATCH OUT FOR THE ORANGE CONE!!"
Not sure when the next Round will be run, hopefully sometime in the next couple of days...

Woo! WTG my best Greek pal!
OOC: I knew Vernio was no fluke after that NMGAR win at Kentucky. He has lower ratings than the whole field and still wins.

Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Day Eight, Track 3: BTCC Brands Hatch Circuit
Ryan Smith: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, coming to you live on SiriusXM from the across the pond here in Kent, England, at the site of the Brands Hatch Circuit to bring you the Third Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!"
Smith: "After an exciting first 2 rounds, and a lot of twists and turns, the entire field is only separated by just 11 points. With this race expected to be a battle of track position, it is going to be even more important to start up front, and with 6 more bonus points given out between the Practice and Happy Hour Sessions, this could be the round for when a driver can really start pulling distance from the pack."
Smith: "Zachary Fitzwater Sr is expected to be the favorite once again in this Round, but any little mistake on his part could open the door wide open for someone else to get the top spot. Also, with Marty McGee being the points leader so far, there is even more added pressure on Fitzwater to win this round. One thing is for sure, it's gonna be a blast to watch!"

- Points Standings After Round 3(Brands Hatch)::
- 1st: Zachary Fitzwater Sr.(AUS)- 40 Points
2nd: Marty McGee(USA)- 35 Points

5th: Tripontakio Vernio(GRC)- 22 Points
T-6th: Jek Porkins(FO)- 17 Points
T-6th: Matt McIntire(USA)- 17 Points
8th: Deon Scott(RUS)- 15 Points
9th: Emmanuel Hartnett(USA)- 12 Points
10th: Ben Gurion(ISR)- 10 Points
- Thoughts After Brands Hatch::
- Chris Dodd: "What a great race! From start to finish, it was a phenomenal race with a lot of close battles, as well as a few close calls between cars, but in the end it was another clean race! And congrats to Marty McGee, making his way through the pack early, and holding off some hard-charging cars!"
Dodd: "Now we are at the halfway point of this Training Camp, and while some drivers have separated from the pack at the moment, it's still anyone's chance to get one of those 3 spots, especially with the all important Double-Points finale race!"
Dodd: "But now it's time to go back home and have some fun at the beach... Daytona Beach that is! It's time to find out who is not only the fastest driver, but the one that works together the best as well!"
---------------------------------------
Ryan Smith: "And with that Ladies and Gentlemen will end what was an phenomenal 3rd Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" After some wild early race moves, a couple of cars in the dirt, and a fantastic race those last couple of laps, Tennessee's own Marty McGee was able to hold off the driver who many people considered the favorite in this Round, Zachary Fitzwater Sr."
Smith: "However, despite McGee winning the race, Fitzwater was able to win the most points in the 3rd Round overall, sweeping the bonus points for the Practice/Qualifying/Happy Hour Sessions, and is now 5 points up on McGee. It truly goes to show that each session is extremely important, and that even if you don't have the best of luck in the Race, you can still come away with some very valuable points, or in Fitzwater's case, pull away from the field."
Smith: "Speaking of pulling away from the field, Fitzwater and McGee are beginning to do that, but as CJ Racing's Chris Dodd said, with that Double-Points race still to come, virtually anyone still has a shot to get one of those 3 spots."
Smith: "And now we are on to the high banks of the Daytona International Speedway, were the drivers will have their 2nd and final Testing/Practice Session, not only to find out who is the fastest driver, but who will work together the best. It's going to be a fun and exciting Round, that's for sure!"
Smith: "But until then, as CJ Racing's motto says:
"Always remember... WATCH OUT FOR THE ORANGE CONE!!"

Probably so(if it's someone from FB I might ask them first if they want to), but yeah, it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: CJ Racing's Training Grounds(10/2016)
Day Fifteen, Track Four: Daytona International Speedway
Ryan Smith: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, coming to you live on SiriusXM from the Daytona International Speedway to bring you the Fourth Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" Daytona is the biggest track on the schedule for this tour, and is the 2nd and final Testing/Practice Session. Not only will speed be important in these Sessions, but for the first time we will be seeing these 10 drivers have to work together to get the fastest laps possible."
Smith: "This Round could be where we really see things get swapped around. While these Sessions could be a great chance for drivers lower in the standings to get some much-needed points, this could also be quite possibly the Round that might nearly clinch a spot for guys like Zachary Fitzwater Sr and Marty McGee... One things is for sure, it's gonna be exciting to watch!"
Round Four, Track Four: Daytona International Speedway, After Session 2(of 3):
Ryan Smith: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, coming to you live on SiriusXM from the Daytona International Speedway to bring you the Fourth Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!" Round Four, Track Four: Daytona International Speedway, After Session 2(of 3):
- After Session One(+Quick Notes):
- 1: T Vernio 43.959/42.649
2: M McGee 45.968/42.697
3: D Scott 43.777/42.776
4: E Hartnett 44.750/42.987
5: L Stucole 43.924/43.004
6: B Gurion 43.863/43.043
7: M McIntire 45.156/43.114
8: M Paganello 43.856/45.193
9: Z Fitzwater Sr. 43.986/45.186
10: J Porkins 44.052/44.885
Quick Notes After Session #1: A very clean First Session, not a lot of drafting until later in the Session. Russia's Deon Scott was the fastest car in the draft, while guys like Hartnett, McIntire, and McGee didn't get good runs and were not in the draft.
Quick Notes After Session #2: This Second Session was a much faster Session, with the first four-car packs. Could this be Session where the fastest laps come from? If so, Grecce's Tripontakio Vernio may be in the best spot, while guys like Fitzwater and Porkins may be in serious trouble.

- Points Standings After Round 4(Daytona):
- 1st: Marty McGee(USA)- 45 Points

3rd: Tripontakio Vernio(GRC)- 34 Points
4th: Lafter Stucolé(ESP)- 31 Points
5th: Michael Paganello(GRC)(Already Guaranteed Ride)- 28 Points
6th: Emmanuel Hartnett(USA)- 27 Points
7th: Deon Scott(RUS)- 23 Points
8th: Matt McIntire(USA)- 21 Points
9th: Jek Porkins(FO)- 18 Points
10th: Ben Gurion(ISR)- 15 Points
- Final Thoughts After Daytona:
- Chris Dodd: "What an exciting finish! Congrats to Emmanuel on a fantastic last second push, and while we had our first crash in this series, it is fortunate that no cars were seriously damaged. Now we are on to the final stretch, just 2 more races to go!"
Ryan Smith: "And it's coming down to the very finish! With Las Vegas native Emmanuel Hartnett taking the victory here at Daytona combined with Fitzwater Sr's rather poor run, it has now closed up the standings at the top considerably. While everyone is still in the hunt of a Podium position, there looks to be 6 drivers that have a very good shot, especially considering the double points finale race at Maui still coming up."
Smith: "But before we get to Maui, we must first go to Lime Rock Park, the second and final road course in this "Camp". This could be the last chance for guys like Gurion and Porkins to stay in the hunt, while for guys like Fitzwater and McGee, this could be the chance to solidify their spots for the finale. The battle for the 3rd and final spot is also really heating up, with 4 drivers just 7 points apart... One thing is for sure, it's going to be exciting to watch!"
Smith: "But until then, as CJ Racing's motto says:

Day 22, Track Five: Lime Rock Park
Ryan Smith: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, coming to you live on SiriusXM from Lakeville, Connecticut, at the site of Lime Rock Park to bring you the Fifth Round of the "CJ Racing Training Grounds Tour!"
Smith: "With just two rounds left to go in this tour, this could be the big race that could make or break several driver's chances to make it into one of the top 3 spots. For guys like Zachary Fitzwater Sr and Marty McGee, a good race could just about lock them into one of the top 3 spots, while for guys like Jek Porkins and Ben Gurion, a bad race would almost certainly knock them out of contention."
The Race VIDEO will be out Soon(I hope)...

- Chris Dodd: "What an exciting race! Congrats to Zachary Fitzwater Sr on the Victory! Also, good luck to all the drivers in the Season Finale, and with it being a Double Points race, anyone still has a shot of being one of the top 3 drivers!"
Ryan Smith: "And with that ladies and gentlemen ends what was an exciting 5th round! It was a close race between Israel's Moshe Gurion and Australia's Zachary Fitzwater Sr, but in the end, Fitzwater's experience got the job done."
Smith: "With the Season Finale in Maui being a Double Points race, all 10 drivers amazingly still have a mathematical chance to make one of the top 3 spots, however only the top 6 have a shot of winning the top prize(the ALS ride). As of right now it looks like it will be a very close fight between Fitzwater and Tennessee's Marty McGee, and it could come down to the last lap. Also, the battle for the 3rd and final spot is extremely close, with Stucolé and Vernio battling it out, and guys like Gurion not too far behind... One thing is for sure, it's going to be exciting to watch!"

Time to find out who the winners are gonna be!!
- Someone SMACKED the WALL!:
Ryan Smith: On Lap 6, coming off of turns 1 and 2, Matt McIntire slid up the race track, and unfortunately for Micheal Paganello, there was no place for him to go.
