AES Season 20 Track Suggestions Empty AES Season 20 Track Suggestions

Post by f1fan January 13th 2016, 12:34 am

I am looking to add one, maybe two races to the AES schedule. They would be slotted in either before Arizona, and before the finale. So I am opening it up to you...

For the round in between both PIR's... I would like a track in the United States. Pretty much anywhere will work.

For the penultimate round. I would like something in a warmer climate. Because going up to the North wouldn't be pretty in November. Can be in multiple countries though. NO EUROPE THOUGH!

Tracks must hold 42 cars
Tracks should not be broken
Tracks should result in good racing

AES Season 20 Track Suggestions Empty Re: AES Season 20 Track Suggestions

How about Ozark_NRT? Or Columbia Superspeedway? Or Eight Bowl Speedway? I don't really race any short tracks or road courses(don't have a controller, only keyboard), so those are 3 tracks that I think create some really good racing. Hillside Speedway is another decent track, and is a mix of a short track and a cookie-cutter, being 1 mile long.

IDK, just giving out ideas, I am sure someone will think of a better racetrack Smile .

Suzuka Full Course ( I can fit 42 cars on it )
Twin Ring Motegi: that needs to return
Decatur: THERE NEEDS TO BE A RACE THERE
Pukekohe: provided some great racing
Rio: I can produce a great ini for that
Dubai: fantastic racing there too

*note to F1Fan (Kenny)* I kinda wanted it based around the world rather than the US. Honestly, should ARCSOA really base around in America? Elites should at the very least be worldwide. It would make sense if anything. Unless you want to be based on TMMC like you've always been, then by all means, have at it.

I know that this is VERY basic, but I honestly think that a Charlotte race could be interesting.

Sun Valley Speedway (Sean's got a version that can fit more cars)
Rockingham (Has actually reopened in real life!)
Bralli (Decent road course)
Homestead (Love this circuit for some reason, I really do)
Dubai (Why not a week after the UAE?)
Lime Rock (No need to say why)
Watkins Glen (As in, the short layout...)

AES Season 20 Track Suggestions Empty Re: AES Season 20 Track Suggestions

Post by f1fan January 13th 2016, 5:26 pm

My opinions on the suggestions

Superspeedways- BAD! I only like having Daytona on the schedule. I do kind of miss Talladega, but I won't loose any sleep over it.

Kaylami- If the 1992 version were made, maybe... Other then that, the version out there now is an old GPL edit.

Suzuka- I ran this back in the day... With some modern edits, plus a 42 car pit lane... Definitely a possibility.

Motegi- Too much like Darlington

Pukekohe- I do like that track a lot. But I think it would be more inclined to start Season 21 with maybe an Australian/Pacific Tour.

Rio- Track is bland, racing is bland, and if I go to Brazil... I want to go to Interlargos if that ever gets made

Dubai- It looks pretty, but unrealistic. The fact that there aren't any 90 degree bends on a street course is pretty strange. But I do have a race at Yas Marina which could end up playing a part in a possible Dubai race.

Charlotte- Ironically, Charlotte was very close to being on this seasons schedule anyway. It probably is in the lead in comparison to the other suggestions

Nurburgring Nordschleife- ERR... NO! AI is terrible for that track. If I run Nurburgring, I will run the Grand Prix version in Season 21

Sun Valley- Never tried it

Rockingham- EWWWWW

Bralli- See Sun Valley

Homestead- Not convinced

Lime Rock- Annoying thing about Lime Rock is, it can't hold enough cars. The Pit lane is already tight with 36 cars, I couldn't possibly push it to 42.

Watkins Glen- If I do the Glen, it will be the long version!

Still no real pull-away favorite for the 2 races. The Taylor Swift track might be a possibility, provided someone re-skins it. I will look at Sun Valley and Bralli though!

If someone re-skins the TS track, I would be down for that, cause the track itself isn't bad. But as it is right now... UGH!
