Post by FUEL September 19th 2018, 11:05 am

Heading back to Phoenix International for the first time since 2016 for the Sony Cup Series' 2nd race ever at Phoenix... We take a look back at the history of this race track. Nick Mace dominated the day in 2016 streaking to victory for his 24th career victory. Can he pull off another much needed victory in the championship here today? His title rivals preformed in qualifying as well scoring Top 10 runs in qualifying for Caps and Turner. For 156 laps in the desert, we have a battle on our hands.

D. Kurtis: "We seem to really get better at our Q trim, this is really good progress! We've got nothing to lose, so I'm gonna do my best to try and stay in the top 10!"

J. Kurtis: "Our Q trim continues to be lacking. We're gonna work on it more and more, but both cars are still making races, so it isn't too bad."

CH: Couldn't get a grip on the car in Qual, but we'll try to get it fixed in race trim. Huge thanks to TPR for this car and effort.
