2016 SEASON RULES PACKAGE
Well since this will be a new season, there will be new rules and updates added to the 2016 season.
SERIES CHASE
First thing the NROPL would like to announce is that the 3 major series including the FTS, GXS, AND RCS will all keep the same chase format. If you win you're in. 2 or more wins will lock you in the chase no matter what.
AERO PACKAGES AND MORE
The aero packages for the FTS, GXS, and RCS has been modified and change, but they will keep the same aero package from the 2015 superspeedway races. So that includes Daytona and Talladega. For any other track the cars will carry new aero packages. This is so that the racing is better, more exciting, and more realistic. With this new aero package, drivers will no longer swap leads on every lap. If you have a great car and a great setup, you are most likely to pull away from the field. Rookies will also be lest likely to run up front all the time, but don't get me wrong, just because you are a rookie does not mean you wont run up front some races.
LAPS UPDATE
The laps across all the series will be improved for longer racing. The 2015 season was raced on 5%10% races. This season races will be run on 15%-20% races.
CAMERA VIEWS
The NROPL has also invested in getting new camera angles for SOME of the races in the season to make things a bit more interesting. The new camera angles will be tested at homestead during the champions burnout across all 3 series.
More news may come sooner or later.
