#COBWEB: PWCOM Officials Announces Updated Engine Package Starting Round 6
PWCOM Officials have announced that starting at the Round of Cape Cod, that there will be an updated Engine/Rules Package, a term that is being called #COBWEB, something that PWCOM's CEO Lewis Grant used in an interview with reporters earlier today when discussing how the season has gone so far, some of the possible adjustments to the current package and why they were needed:
Grant: "You know, overall we have been pleased with how this "restart" of PWCOM has gone so far this season. When it was announced originally that PWCOM would be making a return, there was a lot of worries that the on-track product would be lacking, but overall it has gone pretty smoothly.
Obviously, there are always things that we would like to improve on a bit, small things that would help get a bit better balance into the racing as a whole, kinda like a "cleaning of the cobwebs" so to say. They aren't massive changes, but small things that would help the product overall.
One of those things would be getting a bit more power into these engines, and allowing a little more freedom in how the cars can be tuned. Obviously with the "restart" of the series, there were a lot of extra restrictions put in place but as we go through this season, we feel more comfortable in allowing teams to find a little bit more and have a little more freedom."
---Grant also talked about the current penalty system in place, and said that: "We feel comfortable with how we are currently doing the Penalty process so far this season. We look at each incident on a case-by-case matter, and decide from there based on severity, at what point it happened during the race, if it effected the race of other drivers, etc. While it's a bit of a tedious system at times, we believe it makes it more fair for everyone if we take the time to see each incident individually."
